- TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER TARRANT HINTON & TARRANT GUNVILLE AREA (for Great Dorset Steam Fair) DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of the Great Dorset Steam Fair [the event] and reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the Event. The Order will come into effect at 00.01hrs on Friday 17 August 2018 and will be introduced in two phases: Phase 1: Between 0 0.01hrs on Friday 17 August 2018 and 12.01hrs on Wednesday 22 August 2018: 1 a 30 mph speed limit is imposed upon the A354 from Little Down north eastward to the Telephone Exchange, a distance of approximately 1,625 metres; 2 a Clearway is imposed upon the A354 from Little Down north eastward to the Telephone Exchange, a distance of approximately 1,625 metres. Therefore, no waiting or parking will be allowed on the highway or verge; 3 all vehicles are prohibited from overtaking any other moving vehicle, with the exception of a pedal cycle, upon the A354 from Little Down north eastward to the Telephone Exchange, a distance of approximately 1,625 metres. Phase 2: Between 12.01hrs on Wednesday 22 August 2018 and 00.01hrs on Friday 31 August 2018: 1 a 30 mph speed limit is imposed upon the A354 from the national speed limit signs at the north east edge of Pimperne village north eastward to Turnpike Cottage, a distance of approximately 4,100 metres.; 2 a Clearway is imposed upon the A354 from the national speed limit signs at the north-east edge of Pimperne village north eastward to Turnpike Cottage, a distance of approximately 4,100 metres.
