Admission to B.A. Sem. I / B.Sc. Sem. I / B.Sc. Agriculture Sem. I / B.Sc. Horticulture Sem. I/B.Com Sem. I shall be given on
merit basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations. Admission to M.A./M.Sc./PGD Mass Communication shall be
given on the basis of marks obtained in graduation. Admission to B.Ed. Sem. I /M.Ed. Sem. I shall be given on the basis of
merit of entrance examination conducted by HNB Garhwal (Central) University. For registration to different
classes/subjects/subject combinations, log on to college website : www.sgrrcollege.co.in.
1. College will follow rules and regulations as framed by University and G.O./rules of Government of Uttarakhand for
admission.
2. INSPIRE certificate holders for admission in B.Sc. Semester-I, are advised to contact Dr. Sandeep Negi
(Incharge INSPIRE Scheme)
3. The minimum non-relaxible Eligibility Criteria for admission to the various Courses : B.Sc. Semester-I : 45% marks in
the qualifying examination. B.A. Semester-I and B.Com Semester-I: 40% marks in the qualifying Examination.
4. Fractional rounding up shall not be admissible for calculating the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e. 44.9% or 39.9% shall
not be treated as 45% or 40%.
5. Persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed a relaxation of 5% marks in the
Minimum Eligibility Criteria.
6. Seats shall be reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates in all Courses/Programmes of the University in accordance with the
State Government Reservation Policy of Govt. of Uttarakhand, i.e. 19% for SC, 4% for ST and 14% for OBC
candidates. In addition, horizontal reservation in each category shall be : 20% for women, 2% for defence personnel
and/or their dependents, 3% for persons with disabilities and 2% for dependents of freedom fighters. In case of OBC
category candidates, they are required to produce non-creamy layer certificate of their parents of preceding financial
year.
7. Applicants shall be considered for admission to the same stream/group of subjects at the undergraduate level (B.Sc.)
as might have been studied/passed by them in Qualifying examination.
8. Only such applicants who might have passed the qualifying examination with Geography or
Mathematics or Biology may select Geography as an elective subject at the undergraduate level, (B.A.).
9. Only such applicants who might have passed the qualifying examinations with Mathematics as subject
may select Mathematics as an elective subject at the undergraduate level (B.A.).
10. The admission of a student can be cancelled at any time during the session, in case it is detected that
he/she has given incorrect information or concealed certain facts.
Note :
(i) Students seeking admission shall have to present himself/herself before the Admission Committee concerned for
interview alongwith all original certificates and marksheets.
(ii) They must submit Migration certificate within one month from the date of admission, if earlier enrolled in some other
