IntroductionIntroduction of of Yogkshem Yogkshem

“SHREE YOGKSHEM FOUNDATION FOR HUMAN DIGNITY” is a registered Non Governmental Organization (NGO), established by stalwarts in the field of legal, education, academic, medical, engineering, diet & nutrition and from social sectors.

Its symbol is “ABHAY MUDRA” meaning “FEARLESS”.  

“Spread the Legal Awareness among all levels of society” – Under their “Legal Awareness Programmed”, the foundation conducted more than 25 full Day Seminars and Gram Sabhas to spread legal awareness in the Society.

Objectives of YogkshemObjectives of Yogkshem

The main functions of the trust will be for the complete social development and for the progress of all the members of the society irrespective of their caste, sex etc.and for the all round development and protection of their cultural, educational, religious and environment rights along with human rights

Also they shall work for the sufferers of the calamities created either by nature or human beings.

Activities of YogkshemActivities of Yogkshem The foundation will perform all these activities without rendering any

charges.

  The Organization will carry out the work, for the development and

protection of our rich cultural heritage and also for the establishment of educational facilities.

  Under our health awareness programmers: establishment of hospitals,

and organizing various diagnostic camps in backward areas;

  As a part of rural development: self-Empowerment & Employment

programmers will be carrying out for people below Poverty Line and for the weaker sections of the society.  

As a part of Legal Awareness all other necessary activities will be carryout for providing speedy and competent justice., Research and publishing work will be done for those who are directly connected with Human Rights agencies like Judicial Officers and Advocates; Police and Jail Authorities; and Doctors (Govt or Private including, Para Medicos) for the awareness of Human Rights and their Rehabilitation.

Our ObjectiveOur Objective To examine the effectiveness of the

Yogkshem’s (NGO) legal activities and seminars in rural area people and among the educated people in Gujarat.

Research Methodology

Our Research Methodology is qualitative We conducted a survey after the

seminar and interview people who attended the seminar.Sampling Design

Sample size 25Target population: Rural area people

and future teacher and student Sample frame:Ahmedabad and around

village

Data collectionData collection

◦ Primary Data  We collect the primary data from the One of the

trusty of the Yogkshem (NGO) Dr. Dilip Mevada who is principal of the Siddhartha Law College.

We interview him on 22nd January 2009 at Siddhartha Law College.

  ◦ Secondary Data

  We collected secondary data from the website of

the NGO (www.yogkshem.org) and the book which they published and provide to the people.

FUND COLLECTIONFUND COLLECTION

They collect fund from Bar Association, friends and family and also collect the fund from lawyers. The government offer them grant for these activities but they not accepted grant and ask them to use these fund for social welfare.

  They also got fund from relatives. They collect

fund from the judges who want to do social legal awareness and who are interested to do this work.

Responses of the Responses of the AudienceAudience   We find in their seminar at Randhja

Vidhyapith that many student of the vidhyapith question about their problem and regarding the current issues happen in society related to law. So we can say that they gave us positive responds.

  There were seminar at kolavada my own

town on 23rdjanuary. We conduct a survey and ask the question to the people who attended the seminar.

AnswersAnswers

1.From all respondent, we got the answer that they didn’t attend this type of seminar and they believe that this type of seminar are needed for awareness of laws. It indicates that they are interested to know more about laws now. So,we can say that every seminar arrange by them are effective.

 2) We asked 25 people that what you learn from the seminar. 10 of

them were ladies. They said they learn lot about Woman Right and their application. They also know about the real situation of woman. They also learn what step should be taken by the Government to protect women.

  Out of 25people, we select 10 Men they said it was all on paper and

in book, not in real life they also said that Government was help only women they said men also have problem. They give example of adultery in women. But after seminar they were satisfied with article 497 in Family Laws of adultery

They also indicate that men now be more concise and aware about lows.

  Out 25we select 5 elder people. We asked same question. They

said these are good but create lots of problem. They said it was better in their time.

  It indicates that old aged people are not accepting the

family low and they are satisfied with other lows in rural areas.

3. How these seminars help to you?

We asked our respondent, they gave us very good answers that knowledge help anywhere –any time.

It indicates that they got some knowledge from the seminar.

4. We asked them how was the booklet which they provide. They answered booklet were good and provide the complete information regarding the laws.

They feel that booklet were good and information provider.

  Means that material were good

which they provide.

Personal experiencesPersonal experiences   I have attained four seminar of Yogkshem.Nardipur B.ed and (PTC) college.Randheja vidhapithKolavada my own village on23rd jan. Jasaji na muwala(Dahegam)

We personally find that they are not doing four themselves but did for people welfare.

Project’s limitationProject’s limitation

All trustee and staff are lawyers so lack of time main problem.

They do not provide us the financial situation and the document.

We select the qualitative method but we can interviews all the previous seminar audience, so catch the chance of kolavada (village)and got the interviews

ConclusionConclusion The awareness of laws is very important

things because Law help and protect them who know the laws.

  So, after all the experiences and

study we conclude that Yogkshem (NGO) do excellence job.

The activities and seminar of Yogkshem were very effective. They give good awareness of laws among the rural area and among the future teacher.
