ROTARY BLOOD BANK VISIT
“No one shall suffer in and around Delhi for want of Blood”
Blood Donation and Thalassemia are the major areas of
concentration for this Rotaract year. It was, therefore, a
golden opportunity for our district to be invited for a
special visit to the Rotary Blood Bank, Tughlakabad
Industrial Area on 1st August.
The visit included a seminar cum workshop on
Voluntary Blood Donation and Motivation.
Rotaractors from all over the district gathered on a
Sunday morning, braving heavy showers to be a part of
this moral cause.
The seminar began with an address by PRID O P Vaish
Ji, Chairman Rotary Blood Bank, followed by a spirited
talk by PRID Sudershan Agrawal Ji,President Emeritus,
RBB. Rtn.Tejinder Singh, District Chairperson RBB
Committee, welcomed the audience and charmed
everyone with her zeal and enthusiasm. PDG Sanjeev
Khanna appreciated the resolve shown by the young
Rotaractors present and motivated them to “Do
something for someone who will never be able to
repay you.”
After an interactive break over tea, the session
recommenced with a presentation by Rtn.Tejinder
Singh on “How to woo donors and conduct successful
blood donation camps”. The technical aspects of blood
donation were explained through a presentation “The
Vital Factor” by Mrs.Asha Bazaz, Chief Technical
Oficer, RBB.

From The DRR’s Desk
Dear Friends,
I want to thank you all for believing in me and accepting me to lead
this organisation. I take it with great responsibility and honour to
lead the Rotaract activities in District 3010 for the year 2010-11.
Rotaract is all about friendship, learning and service to the socitey. I
believe, if we in rotaract, can be good friends, then we can have
great opportunities to learn and make a difference to this society and
its issues .
This year’s theme – “LEARNING THROUGH FELLOWSHIP”
reflects the intention of bringing all of us together not only to learn
and create fellowship but also uniting together to look at the sections
of the society which are still deemed of knowledge and basic
standards of living. Every individual is unique and has its own view
of looking at things . If we bring our visions together and focus on
the issues of the society , we can create Magic.
As quoted by Shri Rabindranath Tagore - “Life is given to us, we
earn it by giving it” . We must be greatful to be born in the society
we live in. This society has made us capable . Its time to give back
what we owe to it.
Lets join our hands together to take the future of this country to an
all new level.
Tonnes of Love and Regards

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
