4. Karpas - eat the symbol of spring and feel sad.
There are no sports because of the Coronavirus.
5. Yahatz - when you break the Matzah, think about
how much the world has changed! Have already eaten
the Marror and bitter herbs in storages of food.
6. You should wash your hand again. Be safe!
7. Maggid - the story. Everybody has a story, a sense of
fear, but together we find strength to triumph.
Mah Neshtana, Why is this Night Different, because
we are not able to do the things we used to enjoy.
8.The needy are in a terrible place, please help
replenish the St. Marks’ Food Pantry.
9. Say Dayyenu, enough, enough, enough.
10. Open the Door for Elijah the Prophet and hope
He can end this pandemic with a VACCINE… SOON
11. Pray for the strength of doctors, nurses and care
professionals. Pray for those who are sick, as we
mourn those who have died! Dayyenu! Enough
Can we hope that Eliyah the prophet will appear!
and end this Pandemic of the Coronavirus!
Rabbi Blum
PRESIDENT
Early Chag Same’ach to all. The joy of getting the family together to celebrate Passover has a different look this year. Many families, including mine, are gathering around the Pesach table via the internet and use of technology. In my home, we’re spilling a drop of wine to include the 11th plague, that of the Coronavirus, COVID 19! Since my family is scattered through the United States, the use of technology will bring us altogether for the first time. A few things to keep in mind:
Anne Frank lived in a small room in an attic for two years with seven other people without Netflix, Cable TV, cell phone or knitting needles..
As a people, we have always been resilient, and work to make the best of every hand we are dealt.
We will, overcome this as well.
Stay well and enjoy whatever you can each day, and to quote my beloved mother, “This too shall pass”!
Chag Same’ach , Happy Passover
Marilyn
Dear Congregants,
Due to the 11th plaque that we are struggling through, difficult decisions unfortunately have to be made. With that in mind, Men’s Club does not feel that it is prudent to continue and plan the closing event scheduled for June 7, 2020. However, we can continue to do our part and honor David Wolfe. David is currently our Treasurer and has also served as our congregation President. He and his family have also been actively involved in community outreach programs and are active members in our religious community. We are sad that we cannot have the big event, but you can still do a mitzvah. We will continue to publish our tribute book for David. Please consider placing a professional advertisement or personal message in our Tribute Book for David. We hope to be able to get together in the future and honor David. Ads are available as follows:
Full page $200 Half page $125
Quarter page $ 75 Eighth page $ 50
Please complete the form below and return it with your check and camera-ready art copy. Electronic copy can be emailed to ([email protected]). If you prefer to send via mail, please send to the synagogue to the attention of the Men’s Club. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rich at 610-742-7464. All camera-ready copy and layouts must be attached to this form. Deadline for agreement and camera-ready art copy is May 1, 2020.
Please circle one:
1. Back Cover $400
2. Inside Back Cover $375
3. Inside Front Cover $375
4. Full Page $200
5. Half Page $125
6. Quarter Page $75
7. Business Card/Eighth Page $50
Total Check Enclosed $_________
The undersigned authorizes the insertion of the advertisement for the Synagogue Ad book to occupy page at a cost of $ . Make all checks payable to BENT Men’s Club and mail to the synagogue or email to [email protected]. Any changes in the above listing must be received before May 1, 2020. Every advertiser will receive a copy of their ad. All advertisers will receive a copy of the ad book.

Thank you and stay well everyone,
Marc Belitsky
As I write these lines, we all are experiencing a challenging time of anxiety and
uncertainty. It is hard to have our daily routine change so drastically, to forgo
many things we enjoy doing, to worry each time someone around us coughs or
sneezes. It is excruciating to spend most of our time indoors, despite
breathtakingly beautiful flowers and trees in full bloom, beckoning us to go out
and relish the spring.
Yet, on the bright side, aren’t we lucky to live in the 21st century!? Seeing faces
and talking to people we love, no matter how remote they are, is just one click
away, and options for great education and great entertainment abound!
That’s why, after just one week of hiatus, Or Tamid is back in session. Our
teachers are giving classes and assignments online, ensuring continuity of our
children’s Jewish education, and reinforcing our connection to each other and
our Jewish heritage.
Just this morning we had an all school Zoom get together, and it was so
wonderful to wave “hi” to everybody, and to catch up. While we were chatting,
I realized one very important thing. Not only viruses can be contagious! One
thing that is as delightful as it is contagious, is a broad smile that we put on
each other’s faces!
So I hope these pictures from our Purim Spiel and Carnival will bring sweet
memories, and make you smile!
May your Pesach be sweet, and may you stay healthy and strong!
I can’t wait for the time, when we will be able to shake hands, pray, and study
together back in our beloved schul!
