to participate or try out for a team. You can obtain the physical form by going on line to

While studying Evolution 7th grade science classes celebrated Charles Darwin's February birthday with a Dar-
win Day Lab. We thank Swarthmore College for lending us their life-sized Darwin cardboard.
Over 40 SHMS and WSSD students, parents, staff were able to see and hear 6th grade SHMS student and cellist Isaiah Kim solo with the Philadelphia Orchestra on Saturday morning at the Kimmel Center. Isaiah was a winner of a student/ musician competition that offered him this prestigious honor. Needless to say, he was simply amaz-ing! After only the first couple of notes from him we all turned and looked at one another in awe of his ability.
Following the concert, Isaiah along with the conductor, Cristian Masecaru, and the narrator, Charlotte Blake Alston were in the lobby of the Kimmel Center greeting the audience and signing everyone's program. It was a great day for Isaiah and his family.
Below is a picture of Isaiah and the conductor out in the lobby where they were signing autographs .
The SHHS counselors are hosting a financial aid night for families in our community. The event will take place on
March 7, 2013, at 7:00 PM in the high school library. All families in the district are invited and encouraged to attend.
Financial aid representatives from Villanova, Temple, and Delaware County Community College will be present to
talk about the financial aid process, how to apply, deadlines, loan and grant eligibility, as well as availability. An advi-
sor from Franklin Mint Credit Union will also be speaking about saving for college and student loan options. There
be a parent Q and A session to ensure that all questions are answered.
