MEGHAVARNAM SHUBHAANGAM| LAKSHMIKAANTAN KAMALNAYANAM YO- GIBHIRDHYANA GAMYAM, VANDE VISHNUM BHAVA BHAYAHARAM SARVALOKAIKNAATHAM Meaning I worship that Lord Vishnu who has a peaceful body (postures); who rests on Sheshanaga (the mighty serpant - cobra); who has a lotus in his navel, who is the base of the world, who is like the sky; who has a colour like cloud, who is the lord of Lakshmi (wealth); who has eyes like lotus; who is seen by yogis in their medita- tion; who is the remover of all the differences and who is the only Lord of all the three Lokas (Worlds), I worship such Lord Vishnu MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN Dear Brothers and Sisters, Namaskar! Indeed it is great pleasure to reach out to you with yet another edi- tion of Hindu Deep. Hindu Council of Kenya held its AGM in April and our great team has taken challenge to serve our members with full dedication, commit- ment and new ideas. As soon as we formed various teams with tasks given to them they have already and actively started with unique events which you will find details in this issue. We will work with proac- tive, progressive and positive approach. This is very special year as the General Election is on 8 th August this year and already many political activities have started. We as Hindu Council of Kenya , being nonpolitical institution we will always remain neutral but will participate in various duties such as Election Observers etc. We will also pray and participate in any activities related to peace. We advise our members to be part of this democratic pro- cess and vote wisely for the great future of this Nation. It is also advisa- ble that we do not spread any rumors; in case any clarification is re- quired please get it through authentic sources only. Its pleasure to release this Hindu Deep publication after a while. In our endeavor to reach our member institutions and their members we wish to invite you to actively participate in releasing this publication on regular basis. You can send articles or events relating to hindu Reli-gion and culture, business ,happenings, programs and events, thoughts, excerpts from per-sonalities varied subjects are welcome which we will evaluate and publish stating contrib-utors name and if possible photo.
.In order to encourage children who are our future leaders and flag bearers its good to teach and practice Hindu Dharma and its benefits through articles. Hindu council has a library which has collection of books ranging from Amar chitra katha ,to epics Ramaya-na and Mahabharata.
Hindu deep is our news letter where will mentioning the activities of various directorates conducted during the period. We do cover branches of hinducouncil of kenya as well. Un-der the able leadership of our Chairman Mr Nitin Malde and General Secretary Mr Kamal Gupta backed by Trustees , Vice Chairmen and Management committee members we wish to communicate that our strength is because of member institutions and their contributions.
