“War Babies”

In January 1932, she was seen by two producers from Educational Films Corporation. She was signed to be the star of their series of one-reel short fi lms called War Babies. She was only paid $10 a day

“WAR BABIES”

In late 1933, she was contacted by Fox Film Corporation and landed a role in their new fi lm ‘Stand up and Cheer.’

Shirley is most recognized for her role in the song ‘Baby Take A Bow’

On December 28, 1934, the fi lm ‘Bright Eyes’ was released.

In April 1940, Temple completed her last contracted fi lm with 20 th Century Fox

An attorney was hired to end her contract

On May 12, 1940, she was released from the remaining thirteen months of her contract.

She was then enrolled into the West Lake School

Shirley was married at 17 years old to a soldier named Jack Agar – they had a daughter named Linda Susan

They divorced four years later

She was remarried to Charles Black, a former Naval Offi cer – they had two children; Charlie Jr., and Lori. Shirley
