SHIFT is:

m A non profit, Christian based, home

school highschool geared to helping our youth

finish their academic requirements

m A vocational training center where

they can receive practical and indepth

coaching in various skills.

Our goals are:

m To give our youth a chance to go

through High School in a focused scholastic

environment, though with the help and

personal care that a home school provides.

m To give them sufficient training in

vocational skills which they can use regardless

of what profession they choose.

m To give them training to become

proficient in missionary and humanitarian

work.

m To Provide man power for social

projects.

Youth are the future of the world. The education they

receive, in every sphere of life, will determine the part they play

in shaping our world's history. We take this seriously and seek

to give children and young people the best.

In The Family International, we have chosen to home

school our children, in order to give them closer attention and

focused help, as well as to protect them from the increase in

violence, abuse and drug use that is prevalent in most secular

schools of this day. However, having each family bring their

own teenagers through high school, has not proven as

productive as one would hope. You take 15 families, with each

one needing a parent to teach their one or 2 teenagers, you end

up with a lot of effort and little output. With our idea, we take

those 15 or more students, put them together under the care

and tutorship of 5 competent teachers and there by minimize

the effort and maximize the output.

To accomplish this we would acquire a place, large

enough to accommodate the students, teachers and staff,

ideally in a central European country. We would seek out those

students who need the most help, initially, and invite them to

spend two years or more, depending on how long it would take

for them to finish their schooling. We would use a distance

learning program that offers an internationally recognized

diploma or certificate upon graduation with which they would

be able to use the many skills aquired to head their own

project in any country of choice, enter university, or pursue a

secular career if they so desire.

Proposal As full time volunteers in the nonprofit, missionary

organization, The Family International, we do not get a salary

for the work we do, nor are we supported by a church or under

any government sponsorship program. We depend solely on the

help and support of likeminded and concerned individuals.

For us to be able to see this project come to reality, we need

your help.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to join our

“Pledge Program”. We are asking people to help by either

donating a fixed amount to our work monthly, quarterly, or

yearly, or by sponsoring any of the specific financial costs this

project requires. You can also participate by donating one or

more of the particular items mentioned on the list below.

Whatever you choose, your contribution will go a long way in

helping us to meet the needs of our youth.
