This was taken on the valuation day when the farm was put up for sale. It had been owned by T B Ford, a plumber in Wooler who had died. He also owned and farmed Broadstruther. He employed two shepherds. (1952 or 1953) People living in the College Valley on the last day of the valuation when it was sold to the Sir James Knott Trust. On day one they valued Goldscleugh and on day two Dunsdale. The valuation covered farm buildings and stock and was carried out by Walter Curry, Alnwick auctioneer and Tommy Elliot, the Dukes farm manager.
