INSTALLATION

ElectricalThis unit mist be connected to 240 VAC 50Hz as indicated on the rating label at the rear of the machine

Installation1. The machine must be installed on a solid, relatively flat surface, then levelled and stabilized to minimize vibration.2. Remove the machine from the carton.

Carefully lay the machine on a protective mat with the front side down. Screw the 2-adjustable feet, suppliedwith your machine into the front holes marked ‘A’ (see Fig. l-l).

Screw the two fixed feet securely into the rear holes marked ‘B’ using the accessory spaner (see Fig. l-1 ).Stand the machine upright, carefully position the machine in the selected area of your choice and adjust the heightof the front adjustable feet to level and stabilize your machine. (see Fig. l-2).

CautionDo not install the adjustable foot at the corner where the pump motor is mounted(adjacent to the drain hose outlet). The thread section of the adjustable foot could touch the fan of the pump motor and could lead to failure of thewashing machine.

8. START/HOLD PADPressing this pad will start the washing cycle. If pressed during the cycle it will pause the wash cycle andpressing again willresume the wash cycle.

Note: If pressed during the wash cycle the blinking cycle lamp will go steady and the motor, the water supplyvalve, the drain valve and the buzzer will turned to OFF and the wash cycle count down pushed.

9. WATER LEVEL CONTROLThere are 5 preset water levels and a manual refill position. Following are the heights of the water measured fromthe bottom of the bowl: -

HIGH 345mm MED 285mm LOW 225mm

Note: Check the height of the water whilst using the REFILL position as the water can overflow.

10. PROGRAM INDICATOR LAMPSThe indicator lamps are lit to indicate your selected programme. Each lamp will then blink in turn as each cycleis in operation. If a problem arises durning the wash cycle, such as out of balance in the spin drying cycle orfailure of the water to drain from the bowl, the indication lamp in the respective cycle will blink rapidly after thewashing machine has shut down to indicate the failure.

11. PULSATORThe 32 cm pulsator has 3 selectable cycles and the actual operating time are shown below.

12. WATER SUPPLY FAILUREIf water level switch is not operated within 15 minutes from the start of the washing cycle, it turns off the watersupply valve and shuts down the machine and gives the repidly blinking indication lamp to signify the problem.

13. VIBRATION (OUT OF BALANCE) SWITCHIf the wash load becomes unbalanced, the safety switch will operate and the machine shuts down and gives therapidly blinking indication lamp to signify the problem. If the bowl lid is opened and the wash load is redistrib-uted, the machine will continue the spin cycle when the lid again closed.

14.TOP LID SWITCHIf lid is opened during the spin dry cycles, the machine will shut down and gives the rapidly blinking indicationlamp to signify the problem but will continue the respective cycles when the lid is again closed.

15. FAILURE OF THE WATER TO DRAINIf the water level switch remains in the ON position 3 minutes after the start of the drain operation, the micro-computer shuts down the machine and gives the rapidly blinking indication lamp to signify the problem.

DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURES

CAUTION: DISCONNECT THE UNIT FROM THE POWER SOURCE BEFORE ANY SERVICE.

CAUTIONS FOR SERVICING

General1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Always disconnect the AC cord from the supplybefore service.Only use approved crimps and crimping tools whensplicing and terminating wires. When refitting wires with spade connectors, ensurethat the connectors are pushed firmly all the way.Ensure that the wiring loom and loose wires are re-turned to their original position. Pay particular at-tention to rubbing on removing parts. If wires are fixed to metal parts, ensure that the wireis insulated with a suitable meterial.

CAUTION:Do not handle the PWB when power is applied, somecomponents on the PWB are at 240 VAC potential. The components on the PWB are susceptible to ex-cessive vibration, shock temperatute and humidity.Handle the PWB with care.Components on the PWB such as the micro computercan be damage by static electricity. Before handlingthe PWB, observe the following safety precautions toreduce damage by static charge.1. Ground your body via an earthing strap. A resistor

of 10 Meg Ohm between the body and ground willsuffice (Fig. D-l).

Wrap with alminum foil

SERVICING OF THE DRAINING SYSTEM

This unit is equipped with a drain pump system to pump out used water out during operation. The draining systemconsists of a Coin Trap, Connecting Pipe, Inner Drain Hose, Pump Motor, and Drain Hose (Fig. L-l).Since the system is not equipped with a valve, it is important that the Drain Hose is hanged at a correct height ofbetween 0.8 to 1.2 meteres from the pump level. This ensures that the pump motor operates efficiently.
