A district’s DDF is made up of two amounts.
Annual Programs Fund Contributions
At the end of the Rotary Year the SHARE system divides each district’s contributions to the
Annual Programs Fund in half:50% goes to the World Fund and
50% is credited to the district’s DDF.
SHARE
Permanent Fund Earnings
The Trustees determine the spendable percentageof Permanent Fund earnings. If a district
has contributions designated to PF-Share,the earnings on those contributions go
through the SHARE cycle:50% of the earnings go to the World Fund and
50% is credited to the district’s DDF.

Keeping Track of Your Keeping Track of Your SHARESHARE Balance BalanceThe SHARE system defines “Unused DDF”“Unused DDF” as
DDF remaining after funds for all approved program applications and donations have been identified. SHARE balances do not reflect any
DDF the district may have pledged or committed to a pending project.

Keeping Track of Your Keeping Track of Your SHARESHARE Balance BalanceDistricts are expected to plan for and track the
use of their DDF. TRF also tracks the use of all districts’ DDF. Districts can check their current
“account balance” by contacting the Foundation’s SHARESHARE coordinator coordinator.
