INTRODUCTION :- 

An outstanding scientific investigation should also be communicated effectively have provided Several style manuals. After adopting any of the style manuals, the researcher must stick on to it throughout the report.

The presentation of the research report should be creative, logical and concise making use of Simple common words and sentence structure whenever possible. Its language should be formal and straight forward, avoiding slang, proverbial or discourteous phrases. The personal pronouns I, we, you, my, our, and us should not be used.

Language and style of presentation involve the following major points:

•Use simple, short and coherent sentences.•Logical and objective presentation•Avoid flowery language•Avoid emotional descriptions•use simple sentence structure and common words•use formal and state forward language•Avoid slang, proverbial and flocky style•Avoid personal pronouns such as “I” we, you, your, my our and us.•Use “the researcher ,” “the investigator” etc.,

Use of Abbreviations:The use of abbreviations, except some

Style of Writing:

The research report should have a creative, clear and concise style. Although the phraseology should be dignified and straight forward, it need not be dull or pedantic. Objectivity is the primary goal, not exhortation of persuasion, the research report should describe and explain rather than convince or move to action.

STANDARD FORMAT OF THESIS:

It deals with results of completed research work. After completion a research work is generally produced in the written from called research report or thesis. It provides a detailed description of research activities. It has a variety of formats vary in length. It is written on past tense and in third person. It is the final form of the research work.

Precautions in report writing:

•There should be no haste in writing report. The reporter should have patience in his job.•The language of the report should be generally according to the level of the expected readers.•The presentation of the report should be logically connected and systematic.•As per as possible the technical terms should also be explained in simple language.•Comments and notes should be inserted in brief wherever required.•Tables, charts, graphs, maps and photographs should be used wherever required.•Detailed and systematic reference of the works connected in report should give. e.g.; Sharma, Ramnath , principles of sociology, Bombay, Asia publishing house, 1964, Pg.No-115

Need of research report:•To report the research in full.•To subject its results to criticism and verification.•To make the research work communicable to the general public for the practical use.•To encourage other persons to take up some problems for future investigation.•To suggests some new problems for future studies as the research report.•To give shape and form to the investigation and solidify it.•To provide a clear picture of research method, sample and techniques used in conducting the research work.•To popularize the new contribution in that discipline.

CONCLUSION:

The writing of research report to the concluding task of the research. If communicate what was done, what occurred, and what the result mean in a concise, understandable, accurate, logical and writing form. The research report should contain all the necessary data. If should be the brief and to the point.
