MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT I’m running a little late on the newsletter. We took a little vacation. (Yes, you can be retired and still take a vacation.) We left the morning after our St. Paddy’s Party and just got back on the 30 th . Speaking of the St. Paddy’s Party, it was great! Our parties seem to get better and better. We had a record breaking crowd and the Holiday Band really outdid themselves. They have become one of our favorites. They played some of the best music and kept the dance floor full. Bob Furr won the candy jar and Bonnie Neal had the lucky number in our split the pot drawing. It was another great and fun evening for our club! Our club parties take a lot of effort to put together. Thanks to everyone who helps with the food organization, decorating, and handling the door duties. A special thanks to our members who provide the delicious foods and to Debbie Ledford for organizing the food and decorations. Now it is time to get ready for April and - what else? - Another party! Our Spring SOS Party will be on Friday, April 20 th at Pirate’s Cove in North Myrtle Beach. Food will be provided by the club. We’ll have our famous 50/50. Though not required for entrance to the party, don’t forget your SOS card. So if you are excited about going to the party make sure your membership has been renewed. DANCE WITH ME LABELS Singles and those who love to dance with everyone - did you know that “dance with me” labels are available at the Greeter Table? Put one on and everyone will know that you are looking for someone to dance with, and with our club you will have no lack of partners. MUSIC REQUEST FORMS It is easy to let the DJ know what songs you want to dance to. Just fill out a song request form located at the Greeters Desk. All of our DJ’s will be glad to play them for you. We hope to see everyone on the dance floor on Saturday.
