CRD  Sludge  Treatment  Plant  PROCESS:  1.  Sludge  will  be  piped  to  the  site  2.  Removal  of  Fats,  Oils  &  Grease  (FOG)  3.  Anaerobic  digester  will  produce  gases  4.  Gases  will  be  processed  to  produce  methane  5.  Methane  will  be  supplied  to  the  local  natural  gas  lines  6.  Other  gases  will  be  processed/flared?  7.  Biosolids  will  be  dewatered  &  dried  

TRUCKING:  1.  Dried  bio-­‐solids  2.  Struvite  (phosphorous/ferTlizer)  3.  FOG  (Fats,  Oils  &  Grease)  

CRD  Sludge  Treatment  Plant  FACILITIES:  

1.  Land  required:  at  least  2  hectares  (Viewfield  is  1.7)  

2.  Six  small  buildings  up  to  8  metres  (26  feet)  high  (two+  story)  1.  Screening  building  

2.  Digestor  building  

3.  Energy/Heat  ExtracTon  building?  4.  Sludge  dewatering  building  

5.  Thermal  drying  building  

6.  OperaTons  building  

3.  One  large  building  up  to  14  metres  (46  feet)  high  (four+  story)  1.  Approx.  0.5  Hectare  in  size  

2.  Four  large  digester  tanks
