Setup Google Calendar On iPad

Use these directions to setup Google calendar on your iPad. This setup will link the iCal application onthe iPad to Goggles' web based calendar.

Settings

Tap on the settings icon.

Mail, Contacts and Calendars

Tap on the Mail, Contacts and Calendars option. Under the accounts section, tap Add Account.


Add Account

Tap on the MicroSoft Exchange option.


Exchange Settings Account Information

Enter your gmail email account in the first field. Leave the domain blank. Enter your gmail usernameand password information. The username is usually your email, but without the @gmail.com. Enter adescription for this account. Look at the next example to help you.

Enter your information. It should look something like this example. Remember, use your accountinformation, not mine!

Tap the Next button.


Exchange Server Settings

After you tap the Next button this option will appear. Look at the next example for the information youneed to fill in here.


Exchange Server Information

Enter the server information as shown in this example and tap the Next button.


Exchange Account Options

The exchange account enables both the mail and calendars by default. In the district we are notsupposed to use gmail so you should turn this option off to avoid problems.


No Gmail

Turn off the mail option. Tap the save button.


Finished

Your account is now setup. Tap the home button on your iPad.


iCal

Find and tap the iCal icon.


Google Calendar In iCal

After you tap the icon give iCal a few moments to retrieve your Google Calendar events. Depending onthe number of events, this could take a few minutes.
