Philippines. Textiles have historically formed an important component of India’s exports.

Marco Polo’s records show that Indian textiles used to be exported to China and South-East

Asia. Textiles have also comprised a significant portion of the Portuguese trade with India.

These included embroidered bedspreads, wall hangings and quits of embroidered wild silk on

a cotton or jute ground.

To knowledge about the employees welfare measures in ANGLE Garments.

To find out the effectiveness of selling performance of ANGLE Garments.

PRODUCTION DEPARMENT

Production in terms of utility creation and activity. They have time utility and Place

utility is classified as production. ANGLE Garments make production process only. It’s

produces knitted garments for Men, Women, Teeners, Schoolers and Toddlers for the world

market and specializes in Underwear and Baby wear. in that department within one hour to

produced 1000 finished goods.

Production department is managed by Mr.Moorthy. This concern will estimate the

total cost if there is any change in the specification and style other and then samples. Already

sent this will be informed to the prospective buyers for their confirmations after conformation

of the orders.

YARN

Quality is being checked while the raw material is produced In case of yarn during

quality is check while processing raw material and as well as after during.

Yarn is the stage in the first stage in the production process. The purchase yarn in the

market or by the brokers or directly from the textile mills. There are so many counts in the

yarn. They are 20’s, 24s, 30s, and 40’s etc. The following are the different types of yarn

Gray yarn

Bamboo yarn

Viscose yarn

Polyester

KNITTING

Best Corporation has own fabrication section with 1000machines. They are ten

machine operators and 50 supervisors in the fabrication section. The fabrics knitted according

to the buyer’s needs. There are so many colors of finished fabrics.

DYEING

The fabrics are dyed with the help of machines called winch and staff flow dyeing.

The dark colors are mainly dyed in the hot water and the light colors are dyed in the cold

water. There are two methods of dyeing is using the industries.

1. Yarn dyeing

2. Cloth dyeing

YARN DYEING

Latest method of yarn drying is a fully machine arrangement in Tirupur banyan

companies.

CLOTH DYEING

It is a stage on finished fabric. Another name of cloth dyeing is printing.

COMPACTING

The roll is fed in to the compacting machines to control the shrinkage with medium

length and breath, and also control the overspread with kegs. First to set the machine lower

shoe, upper shoe with checking of GSM. The controlling of overspread is maximum 40 c.

CUTTING

The pattern ANGLE gives the design and the cutting ANGLE gives the design and cut

the cloth. They are used in machines. There are 60 workers 10 ANGLEs and 5 cutting are

available the company.

MACHINE CUTTING

They have using the imported cutting machines in the work. They are using 10 cutting

machines. The machines name is “Orbito”.

LAY CUTTING

This type of cutting we have using the one machine that machine name is Wastema

International

The machine operated automatically or manually. Two operators and six helpers in

that machine.

STITCHING PROCESS

OVER LOCK

The over lock machine is three cones of threads goes through the needle. This

stitching is made by hand on two side of the body at the bottom part of the piece. Each

machine has been needs of one tailor and one helper. The 150 machines are available in. In

this machines using 5&3 thread cones. There are working 175 employees.

FLAT LOCK

There are 200 flat lock machines are used in ANGLE Garments. In this 5cones of

threads go through the needle. There are working 200 employees.

SINGER

There are 100 singer machines are used in ANGLE Garments. These machines are

used to stitch the neck labels, colors and pockets.

CHECKING

The checking is most one of the important function in production process. The

checking has to check all the mistake and damages in the stitched pieces. The process of

checking involved works as follows.

Trimming

Rope joining

Correcting stitching mistake

Removing oil stains

Correcting of printing and embroidery mistake

Checking label placement

Checking workers perform their work both for inner side and outer side. There are

working 50 employees.

IRONING

The main purpose of ironing is to provide the garments an attractive look by giving

shining as the garments get a small percentage of shining on ironing. They are ten steam

tables each contain a worker. There are working 30 employees.

PACKAGING

The packaging department are main work is packing a material of various style order

may be received. The packing department checking the quality and pieces are verify after

packing of polythene back. The packing department are attached a label or tag in every

packing.

FINANCE DEPARMENT

The business transactions are record in a proper and systematic manner known as

accounts. The accounts department has double entry system and subsidiary books.

In ANGLE Garments is maintaining bank accounts in Axis Bank Ltd, Tirupur Branch.

The accounts department prepares other statement such as fund flow statement. Cash

flow statement as well as ratio analysis to find the way of cash in the company and short term

position of the company respectively. Its manager is Mr. V. Gowtham. He is control the all

the function of this departments.

Finance and Accounts department is the main department, which coordinates all other

departments. The day to transactions of the company are arranged and manually entered in

the respective books, the accounts department is fully computerized.

The finance and accounts department plays a very important function in every

business activities. The accounts section maintains all financial, administrative and

production related details.

The maintenance of cash book records concerning banking transaction is done in this

department. All matters relating to accounting to financial natures should come through this

section for the accounting year of a company, April to March of every year. The various

books maintained in the department are:

SALES BOOK

This is the register for records of sales done by the company. This is columnar register

recording the invoice number, party name, daily sales amount, sales tax and other taxes and

duties payable to the government, total sales of the company can be obtained from this

register. Based on this register, the monthly tax is paid to the government treasury.

PURCHASE BOOK

The company also maintains the purchase register for recording the purchases. Both

local and interstate purchases are recorded in separate column of the register.

This register is maintained by the company, helps us to maintain and control the

financial transactions. It also helps to maintain the records relating to return of income

within the specified time. In these books, purchase inclusive duties are recorded after

adjusting discount, rebates, etc. given to the buyer.

GENERAL LEDGER

This ledger mainly deals with non-party transactions. Mostly expenditure and revenue

ledgers are posted here. This contains both direct and indirect expenses ledger. Generally

sales of goods are affected through the following type of transactions.

2. Credit sales

SUNDRY DEBTORS BOOK

In any aspect of credit sales, buyers are called as sundry debtors and the balance

receivable from them are recorded in a ledger called as Sundry Debtors Book from which we

understand the following.

1. Credit limit allowed to every buyer.

2. Periodic outstanding balance in the buyer's account.

3. Outstanding balance exceeding the credit limit allowed in respect of which

Specific attention is required.

Sundry debtor's management is essential for the betterment of any company, which is

taking, care using the details available from this ledger.

SUNDRY CREDITORS BOOK

Generally purchases are classified as

1. Cash Purchase

2. Credit Purchase

Sundry creditor’s book is required to record the credit purchases. This book shows the

amount payable to the supplier at any points of time. The advantages are similar to sundry

debtor’s book.

Auditing is an important requisite of a company and an integral part of the

management to check the trueness, correctness and propriety of financial transaction. For this

purpose the company has appointed a leading auditor for both internal audits and annual

audits. The company auditors undertake the audit. The auditor report is submitted to the

management. If any adequacies found or discrepancies scrutinized are taken immediate

action by the management.

CASH BOOK

As the name suggests, the purpose of this book is to record transactions involving

cash transaction on day to day basis. At the end of every day the balance is arrived to

determine the closing cash balance of the day. The same become the opening balance of the

next day.

BANK BOOK

The objective of this book is to record the payments and receipts made through bank

check and cash deposited into bank. The bank account maintained by the company is with

Central Bank. The company is having cash credit facility with the bank.

FINANCE DEPARMENT (SWOT)

STRENGTH

1. The company has a sound financial base mostly through plough back of

earnings.

2. Working employees are well sound in finance.

WEAKNESS

1. Company’s plants are locating in south parts of the country resulting into

higher transportation cost to serve other geographical areas.

The personnel department is the department which develops the human

resources of the company. The basic function of the personnel department is to keep the

attendance of the employees, as this is equally important in finding out the salary of the

employees. It’s managed by Miss Nalina.

In the personnel department a time-keeping machine is placed which

marks the attendance of the employee enters and leaves out the company. The personnel

department is also responsible for fixing and paying the salary and wages of the

employee.

Personnel department is responsible for filling the vacancies of the

concern. It receives applications from applicants for different types of jobs in the concern

and the received applications are scrutinized and then they are called for the interview.

The personnel department then gives training to the selected persons

through training programs for improving their skill and makes them fit their respective

jobs. It is also responsible for fixing their remuneration.

This department is also responsible for providing various labour welfare

facilities such as medical facilities, canteen facilities, job safety and security. The most

important function of the personnel department is integration of all activities of the

concern through coordination between the employee’s problems. Troubles and strikes are

solved by the personnel department through counseling between top management and

employees.

Selected candidates will be appointed under the following service conditions.

ANGLE Garments is select person for management most of the personnel are

qualified with degree of M.COM, B, TECH, M.B.A. Each department is headed by a

department manager who is an experienced person.

PROMOTION

Promotion is given to the workers on the basis of their efficiency. If a person with

the work given he will be given an opportunity for promoting in the same type of work,

which is high. Promotions are given to both the management level manager who take these

opportunities and select persons for promoting their level.

PAYMENT

The payment are made to the employees on the basis of weekly basis, monthly

basis ,piece rate system and contract basis .Most of the workers in ANGLE Garments are

permanent having 7 to 8 year’s experience in the same unit. The additional or temporary

workers are appointed of peak season order. According to the shift time she payment are also

made to the workers.

Communication is the higher to the lower of management .The purpose here is to

communicate the policies procedures program, order etc., to subordinates.

The theoretically by having provided a particular vision of all such things in

organization. Now we are aware of all activities and aspect an organization is

doing particular.
