Duetotheuniqueservoaction,thevalverequiresonlyasmallfloat,whichmakesthem

idealforconfinedspaces.

Theuniquedesignofthesecondaryservoactionguaranteesshutoffatextremelyhigh

pressure.

ManufacturedfromhighgradematerialstheMarkIIservotankissuitableforarangeof

applicationssuchasfireservicewatertanks.

Fast and Easy Installation• MinimumSpaceRequiredfor

Installation:Basedonaservoactionthebodyhasasecondarychamberwhichassiststhelever/floatassemblyinclosingthevalve.Thisreducesthelengthofleverarmandfloatsizethatwouldotherwiseberequiredtocloseathighpressures.Withacompactbodydesignitmakesthemperfectfortightapplicationssuchasfireservicetanks.

• BSPInlet/OutletThreads:TheIndustrialandPlumbingsectorsuseBritishStandardPipe(BSP)threadsasastandard.Philmacalsousesthesethreadtypesacrossthevalverangetoensurecompatibilitywithotherthreadedfittingsmakinginstallationeasy.

• HexagonalInlet/Outlet:Boththeinletandoutletarehexagonalinshapetomakeiteasytouseaspannerorpipewrenchforinstallation.

• EasyDisassembly:ThevalveshavebeendesignedallowingeasyreplacementofthesealsandO-rings.Simplyremovethepivotpin,disconnecttheleverarmassemblyandremovethehexagonalseatbottomtoallowthepistonassemblytoslideoutandaccessthesealsandO-rings.

1. ApplyPTFEtapeorapprovedsealanttotheinletthreadensuringsufficientisappliedtoensureawatertightseal.

2. Screwintofemalethreadbyhanduntilfirm.

3. Usingapipewrenchormultigripsonthehexofthevalve,screwitintothefemalethreaduntiltight.Wherenecessaryensurethefemalethreadisheldstationarytoavoiditfrommoving.

4. Threadtheleverarmthrougha10”(255mm)copperfloat(ball)andtighten.

5. Fitthesplit(cotter)pinontheendofthearmtopreventitfromcomingloose.

6. Removethepivotpinfromthebodyandfittheleverarmthenensurethepivotpintabsareflaredoutwardbyusingasmallscrewdriver.

ThePhilmacservotankfillingvalvesoperatebyopeningandclosingapistonagainstaseatthroughtheactionofaleverarmattachedtoafloat.Theleverarmisinterconnectedtothesecondarypistonviaacam.

Asthewaterleveldrops,thefloatandleverarmmoveinadownwarddirectionandthesecondarypistonliftsallowingwaterinthetopchambertopassdownstream.Thesecondarypistonininterconnectedtothemainpistonandasitliftssodoesthemainpistonwhichmovesitawayfromtheseatandopensthevalve.

Whenthewaterlevelrises,thefloatandleverarmmoveinanupwardsdirectionandthesecondaryandmainpistonmovestowardstheseatuntilitsitsfirmlyagainsttheseat.Waterthenentersthetopchamberbypassingalongthesideofthemainpistonandthroughasmallslotinthepistonsplitring.Bydoingthis,waterpressureisappliedtothemainpiston.Thissecondaryorservoactioncombinedwiththeactionofthefloatandleverarmensuresthevalveshutsoff.
