• Join or help create networks and partnerships supporting students’ college access and success
• Help colleges do their part and hold them accountable
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT A 21ST CENTURY SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR 21ST CENTURY STUDENTS
1. Create partnerships with K-12, faculty, employers, and the community
2. Focus on pathways to college and career (its about learning AND jobs)
3. Infuse technology to expand capacity, improve quality, and reduce costs
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT A 21ST CENTURY ADVISING/MENTORING SYSTEM FOR 21ST CENTURY STUDENTS
4. Work to provide advisors/mentors who look like the students you serve
5. Support accelerated progress to degrees6. Focus on the whole student: financial,
cultural, academic needs7. Focus on transitions (Middle to HS, HS to
college, transfer, college to work)
