Overview This activity is designed to give you practical experience in a team environment creating online training material that solves as specific instructional problem.

Goals 1. Create a training module or unit that explicitly meets the following objectives:

a. The learner will be able to identify all of the software and tools required to upload e-learning material to a website or file repository that can be viewed by anyone on the internet.

a. Note: If you are creating a professional digital footprint it is recommended that you use www.firstnamelastname.com for naming your website.

12. Create a unique password that is eight characters and has all of the following criteria: A lowercase letter (e.g. abcde), an uppercase letter (e.g. ABCDE), a number (e.g. 123456), and a symbol or a space (e.g. ~!@#$%^) 

13. Then complete the directory home2/jsmith/public_html 14. Click Create FTP Account

1. Start by Accessing www.coreFTP.com and click the free version Download option best for your computer specifications.

 

a. Select the Free Version  

2. Once Download is Successful your computer will connect with the CoreFTP program as shown and will have access to files on your computer such as desktop, documents etc.

3. Go into Site Manager and enter your FTP address, FTP port 21, your username, and password and click connect. 

 4. Once you’re logged in, then select your extracted file and upload it to your

a.  9. Fill in the following: General, Host (ftp.username.com), port 21, Encryption (only 

use plain FTP (insecure)), logon type (normal), user (username), and password 

a.  10. Click Connect 11. You now can drag and drop files to upload to your server.

2. Create a new folder/ Set this folder’s sharing settings to “Public on the web”  

 

3. Upload the published output from your Articulate project.
