Crosspoint Yard SaleCrosspoint UMC’s annual yard sale, to benefit their missions, will be June 17th - 19th. This is their biggest missions program fundraiser. This sale has always been well supported by our congregation, which is greatly appreciated. They are able to take donations at any time, so if you have treasures you no longer need and would like to donate (anything besides clothing), contact Diana at our church office, [email protected] or 330-499-8972.

Youth Mission Events - Summer 2021Work within our community working with children, serving people with food insecurity, and helping local missions build towards their future. Our Senior High Mission Experience will be June 7th - 11th, 8:30 am - 7:30 pm daily. Meeting at Church of the Lakes, we will go to local mission sites to work during the day, including Canton Free Store, a future Canton Free Store site & a Children's Summer enrichment program through Canton Calvary Mission. Groups will meet in the evening for devotions, dinner, and fellowship. Our Junior High will have a 2-day Mission Experience, June 8th & 9th, 8:30 am - 7:30 pm with a similar experience as our Senior High, but grouped with only junior high students. Costs are $50 for Senior High and $20 for Junior High. Email Cara at [email protected] to sign up your student - using the grade they are just finishing.

Red Cross Blood DriveChurch of the Lakes will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday, May 15th, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the Activity Center. The American Red Cross is in critical need of blood donations. Precautions are taken to keep you and the workers safe. Signup for an appointment at redcrossblood.org and search using sponsor code 'churchofthelakes'.

Mission Donations for YouthThis Summer our Junior and Senior High Students will be working with Canton For All People, Canton Calvary Mission, and Crossroads UMC. The week of June 7th - 11th they will be working to help address the food and housing insecurities in the Canton area. We need your support, please look over the following list to see the many ways you can help:1. Prayers - pray for the students, leaders, and community during the trip, June 7th - 11th.2. Donations of NEW children’s books (to provide special activities to the community children)3. Gently used household items such as dishes, plates, silverwear, etc.4. Gently used MENS clothes and shoes5. New socks and underwear for any age6. New baby items (including wipes, diapers, bottles, formula)7. Sam’s Club/Walmart gift cards All donated items can be put in the Revel Mission Baskets in the entryway, or delivered to Cara’s office. Thank you for your support.
