The Hickok Times SEPTEMBER SUMMARY: BY: LORREN, NATASHA, KARA, CRAIG & KADEEM The month of September brought a lot of changes and excitement to the Hickok Center. Not only did we welcome fall, but we also welcomed our new Structured Day Program Manager Taylor Chilluffo along with two new members to the Hickok family- they are great new additions! We had our second annual Hickok spirit week in September. We also held our first annual “Hickok Talent Show.” New traditions have begun at our center and we couldn’t be more excited! A lot of us here at the center have been working double time on getting our ZEN right, with one of the most peaceful and relaxing activity.. YOGA. Our bodies have been transformed with the help of our wonderful yoga We also wanted to take a moment to recognize a few members who really stepped out of there comfort zone and ran their own groups independently! Kadeem came up with the creative and fun game called ‘HICKOK WHO’ which turned out to be an absolute SUCCESS!! Kadeem has been attending Hickok since 2014 and has never ran a group, so YAY Kadeem. Craig who is slightly new to the Hickok Center also ran an amazing raw and real group on sobriety. Look out for his groups in October- YAY Craig! Jermaine’s football bracket group has been great too! Everyone is also loving Natasha’s No- Bake Cooking groups.
