Let your Key Club know…

Who’s Who?

The Key Club Structure

So it’s that time of the year to start having

key club meetings and recruiting new

members! Let your key club members in on

the latest news and updates from Key Club

and Kiwanis. Do any of your members know

who the International President is? Or

LaMissTenn’s International Trustee? Do they

even know who their District Governor is? Or

even their Lieutenant Governor? Well fill

them in and let them know what the Key

Club Structure is. You might even learn a

thing or two. Also, let them know who your

home Kiwanis are and introduce

them by going to your Kiwanis

meetings. Key Club is not just a

club to join for credits, but it’s

something your key clubbers

can actually enjoy and really

get into!

How well does your key club know the Key club Pledge? Make sure that every member can say the pledge and say it proud!

Key Club Pledge

Do you know your Kiwanis? Kiwanis are important to Key

Club and they are always available to help out with your

key club. They love to hear from key clubbers and to know

the activities and events going on in your key club. If you

ever need help, Kiwanis is always

there to serve. Try attending their

meetings every few weeks and

see what goes on in their

community. Also try helping

them in their activities and be

there for them at their Kiwanis

events. Remember whose family!

“ I pledge on my honor To uphold the objects of Key Club International To build my home school and community To serve my nation and God And to combat all forces which tend to undermine These Institutions”

Need help on running your meetings? Having

troubles keeping your members active?

Wondering what projects or services to do for

Key Club? Well here are some tips for Key Club

that can help you run your key club smooth

and efficiently.

Key Club Tippety Tip Tips for you!

1. Running Meetings

Stay Organize! Make sure to have an agenda for your meetings so you’ll know what to say and do at your meetings. You don’t want to be stuck at your own meeting right?

Icebreaker! If your meetings are a little boring, start off with an icebreaker to keep your members active and interacting with each other.

Handouts! Letters and handouts are great to give to your members so they will know exactly what activities your key club is doing.

Prizes and Rewards! Reward your members who are doing an outstanding job in service. Giving out special prizes will keep members active and wanting to do more.

Let everyone in! Don’t just have you run the meetings by yourself. Let other officers help out and do an activity with your clubbers as well. Listen to everyone’s opinions and if anyone has an issue or concern, then ask and see if anyone can offer good advice.

2. Staying Active.

Keep Track! Keep track of the members who are active and make sure they do their part in service. Track down service hours and set a goal for your members to achieve.

Communication! Stay in touch with your members by informing them of activities and events going around in your key club. Make announcements at school each week letting them know of meetings and dates. Maybe try texting, emailing, or calling everyone and keep them updated.

Fun Fun Fun! Have a few get-togethers and incorporate a service project in it! Invite all your members to some fun and to some service. Doing work while having fun brings your members together.

Show them you care! Give your key clubbers compliments and a good pat on the back saying “good job” and “thanks for helping!” Let them know how thankful you are for their services!

Service Projects for your Key Club!

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is a great service project to

do during Halloween! Money raised for UNICEF

goes towards children around the world who are

faced with poverty, killer diseases, and armed

conflict. Help change the world by trick-or-treating

with the little orange boxes and

gathering change for UNICEF. Raise

money by hosting this fundraiser at

your school or in your community.

Important Dates

As Lieutenant Governor, I am required to visit your key club at least twice! I don’t want to visit because I have to though, but because I really want to visit so I can meet your key clubbers and to help out as much as I can.
