Welcome First, the good news. Arts Council England has offered Junction a four year funding package to continue our work. Starting from April 2018, the award secures the future of the arts programme both in the venue and out in the community.

Second, the even better news – we’re open for bookings for our packed autumn season. We start with our third and, sadly, final commission for the amazing hand shadow artist Drew Colby. Drew is the only artist in the country doing this kind of work and his latest creation for us, My Shadow and Me, marks the culmination of three years working with Junction.

Following the wonderful performance by Goole native Gavin Bryars last May, we’re pleased to present another of Goole’s musical prodigies, Angela Brownridge. Born and schooled in Goole, she is now a renowned international concert pianist, delighted to be playing in her home town.

We’re also looking forward to a new monthly comedy club, Barnstormers and a return visit from one-man campaigning juggernaut, Mark Thomas. There is top notch music from Eduardo Niebla and Two Pianos, a production of Oscar Wilde’s biting satire Lady Windermere’s Fan and the frankly scandalous comedy underwear that is the Scottish Falsetto Socks Do Shakespeare.

For Christmas, unwrap TaleGate’s new panto, Dick Whittington. We recommend buying tickets early as nearly all performances sold out last year. All this and Clare Grogan!

Theatrical Niche:Lady Windermere’s FanWhen a mysterious new beauty enters high society, the in-crowd are sent scattering outwards, and bent utterly backwards to find out exactly who they are dealing with. As young Lady Windermere varnishes up all cracks in the veneer, how is it she fails to notice that the place is positively crawling with woodworm?
