CHILDREN'S SABBATH
Each year First Christian Church,
along with other Disciples of
Christ churches, observes Chil-
dren's Sabbath. The Children's
Sabbath aims to unite religious
congregations of all faiths across
the nation in shared concern for
children and common commit-
ment to improving their lives and
working for justice on their be-
half. We will celebrate Children's Sabbath on October 18,
2015. We will also be participating in the Light a Candle for
Children prayer vigil beginning on September 13, 2014, and
continuing through Children's Sabbath, in both worship ser-
vices. You can learn more about the Light a Candle for Chil-
dren vigil at http://lightacandle.blogspot.com/.

CWF Day Group will meet on
Monday, September 14th, in the
church library at 3:00 p.m. Please
