NOT ONLY PERFERCT I’M IRISH TOO

Saturday in October (Oct. 1st) and if it raines, then it will take place the next Saturday (8th). More will be said about this at the upcoming meetings.

Remaining parking schedule for 2011

Lewiston Lions Club Trailer Update

The new club trailer is nearly finished. Lion Tom is working on the roof and will have it fiberglassed before Round Up. The only thing lacking will be the signage as it will not be shipped until the middle of October.

Every thing from the old trailer has been transferred to the new trailer. Below is a sneak peek at what the outside and inside of the new trailer looks like.

Show up to help park at the Round Up and see for yourself. Lion Tom will make a temporary banner to put on the side of the trailer so the pub-lic will know that the

trailer belongs to the Lewiston Lions Club.

At least now we do not have to bend over to put things away.

SEE YOU AT THE ROUND UP!!

NEW GPS SYSTEM FOR INTERNET USERS

HOME OR ON VACATION

It found me in 10 seconds. It's amazing. Must have been

devised by the guys out at Lockheed in California. Give

this a try. It's truly amazing.. It will give your location im-

mediately! Check out the link below. I was shocked to find

EXACTLY where I am right now on Google Earth... NOT a

house, or street but where I AM right now! It's really unbe-

lievable! I was surprised to know such a system exists. It

is a GPS and will find the exact location of any Internet

user in seconds, using a sophisticated algorithm to do so.

Copy the above address into your computer or laptop and

you will shortly be able to tell exactly where you are.

Page 3 ALIVE AFTER 5…. August 17th

Alive After 5 was once again a great success.

Lions Wil l iam Long, Lion Jean Long, Lion Tom Martin, Lion Linda O’Dowd and Lion J e a nn e Law s manned the booth and all endured the heat.

There was a steady line of kids wanting to throw the bean bag to get candy.

Kids of all ages tossed the bean bag through a hole to get candy. On the left shows how some of the smaller kids fig-ured out that if they stood directly next to the board, they could make it through the hole.

We did have a surprise guest show up. She was the Japanese exchange student, Yuka Funasaki, who is shown below next to Lon Jean Long.

Yuka is staying with members of the Clarkston Li-ons Club, Lion Linn & Barry Pemberton.

Sometime it did slow down and the Lions did wan-

der around to the different vendor booths, as shown on the right. Lion Jeanne Laws tries her hand at karaoke at the booth next to the Lions booth.

A fun time was had by all. Hope to see you next year at the Lewiston's Alive After 5 .

FALL ANNUAL CONVENTION

This is the first year that the MD19 convention and the Fall Forum have been combined. It is being held in Yakima this year at the Howard John-son.

This event starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday. The editor will post the schedule as soon as it is available.

Registration forms were in last issue, but if you need another registration form, Please let Lion Tom know and he will get one to you.

Register early as only the first 500 registrants will re-ceive convention pins. (looks like the sheriff star shown above)

Hope to see you Yakima.

INSIDE OF CLUBHOUSE GETS A NEW COAT OF

PAINT

The inside of the Club House now has a fresh coat of paint, spear-headed by Lions Jeanne Laws and Lion Donna Konen. Lion Wayne Agee, Lion Terry O’Halloran, Lion William Long and Lion Jean Long also helped paint.

The ceiling still has to be painted and Lion Tom Martin volunteered to remove the tiles and paint them. Lion Wayne Agee also offered to help.

Check out the walls at the next meeting on Wednesday. September 14th.

THIS MONTHS

WORDS OF WISDOM!

WHATEVER HITS THE FAN WILL

NOT BE DISTRIBUTED EVENLY.

THREE NUNS ATTENDING A YANKEE BASEBALL GAME

Three (obnoxious) men were sitting directly behind the nuns. Because their habits were partially blocking the view, the men decided to badger the nuns, hoping they’d get annoyed enough to move to another area.

In a very loud voice, the first guy said, “I think I’m going to move to Utah… there are only 100 nuns living there.”

The second guy spoke up & said loudly, “I want to move to Montana… there are only 50 nuns living there.”

The third guy yelled, “I want to go to Idaho.. There are only 25 nuns living there.”

The Mother Superior stood, turned around, looked at the men, and in a very sweet and calm voice said, “Why don’t you go to hell… there aren’t any nuns there…”

SMART ASS:

Two young businessmen in Florida were sitting down for a break in their soon-to-be new store in the shop-ping mall. As yet, the store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves and display racks set up. One said to the other, "I'll bet that any minute now some senior is going to walk by, put his face to the window, and ask what we're selling."

Sure enough, just a moment later, a curious senior gentleman walked up to the window, looked around intensely and rapped on the glass, then in a loud voice asked, "What are you sellin' here?"

One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling ass-holes."

Without skipping a beat, the old timer said, "You must be doing well. Only two left." Seniors -- don't mess with them, they didn't get old by being stupid!

Three old ladies were sitting side by side in their retirement home in Phoenix reminiscing. The

first lady recalled shopping at the green grocers and demonstrated with her hands, the length

and thickness of a cucumber she could buy for a penny.

The second old lady nodded, adding that onions used to be much bigger and cheaper also, and demonstrated the size of two big onions she

could buy for a penny a piece.. The third old lady remarked, 'I can't hear a word

you're saying, but I remember the guy you're talking about.

A little old man shuffled slowly into the 'Orange Dipper',

an ice cream parlour in Gilbert , and pulled himself

slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.

After catching his breath he ordered a banana split.

The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'

'No,' he replied, 'haemorrhoids

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked.

As they went along they passed some people who remarked "What a shame the old man Is walking and the boy is riding."

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Later they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame... He makes that little boy walk." So they then decided they'd both walk!

Soon they passed some more people who remarked "They're really stupid to walk when they have a de-cent donkey to ride." So, they both rode the don-key. Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying "How awful to put such a load on a poor donkey."

The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decide to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, They lost their grip on the animal & he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story? If you try to please everyone, You might as well...Kiss your ass goodbye!

Have A Nice Day And Be Careful With Your Donkey!

Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably.. And never regret anything that made you smile The best things in life are free until the government finds out and taxes it.
