One stormy night at Roole National Park in 3004, the animals were in their homes snuggling together to stay warm. The wind blew the branches off the trees up and down, left and right.
And suddenly out of no where a gust of wind like a small tornado came striking to the middle of the park SLAP it hit the branch that held the one and only very last peach in the world down and smacked it to the ground.
Day light came back at the morning of that very night but what about the peach. Well as Mr. Green came striding out to the one of the oldest National parks of the world he picked up the famous peach and he knew where it belonged and he thought in his old mind of his that it should go to the museum of National History so it wouldn’t go extinct in human minds.

GRADE 5 & 6 BOYS MCG EXCURSION
As part of the AFL Multicultural Program, Grade 5 and 6 boys attended a fantastic excursion to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on Wednesday, 4th August. During the MCG excursion, students went on a guided tour of this magnificent ground where the 1956 Olympic Games and the 2006 Commonwealth Games were held.
At the National Sports Museum, students viewed many displays related to the greatest moments in Australia’s sporting history. The museum highly captured students’ interest and made them relive some of the great moments that have shaped Australia’s rich sporting traditions. Students had the opportunity to reflect on what makes Australia such a great sporting country and to appreciate the determination, effort and sportsmanship that comes with sports’ great achievements. Furthermore, students were inspired and gained an insight into what makes a great athlete.
In the afternoon, students were given the opportunity to participate in fully interactive sports activities in the “Game On” gallery. Students personally experienced the thrill of participation in a diverse range of sporting environments and activities.
The MCG tour provided our students the opportunity to relive and appreciate great sporting memories through a comprehensive tour of this marvellous stadium, where so many champions of yesterday and today have performed.

Well done to all our team members!!
Careers Department
This is an important time in the year as year 12 students must finalise their VTAC preferences. All students have received counselling on a one to one basis where we discussed their career pathways and tertiary preferences. Students were also encouraged to apply for the SEAS and Scholarship Applications which can be accessed via Myinfo. A reminder that the closing date; September 30 is fast approaching and students must ensure that all applications are finalised.
The College is once again fortunate to be a part of Victoria University’s PPP program and La Trobe University’s SALT Program. RMIT has also invited the College to become a SNAP School. These programs will allow our students to enter Tertiary Education based on a range of criteria. All students are encouraged to apply via the SEAS application.
The College is in the process of finalising Yr 10 – 12 VCE/VCAL enrolments for 2011. This entailed teacher recommendations and student preferences. Parents will be informed in due course about the outcome.
