The Division of Student Affairs provides student learning and leadership opportunities that enhance overall academic, professional and personal success.

To secure and utilize fiscal, physical, human and technological resources to ensure operational integrity and accountability to enhance services delivery.
To improve student retention, graduation and academic success and expand access and opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.

All units conduct customer satisfaction surveys

Assist with outreach activities and monitor retention, graduation and persistence
Reduce probation rates for undeclared students Increase appointment times in UAC (SLO) Coordinate outreach to underserved
communities. Expand tutoring in SCAA Provide year round orientations for freshmen,
transfers and parents
Increase student housing and 24/7 activities and expand multicultural and diversity programs
Work with ASI to expand major campus activities
Explore with AA creation of a “campus hour” Construct Phase III Housing Consult with students for Division II Athletics Expand programming by SHS, CaPS, H & RL,
SLLP, and SDRC
Provide services to create a healthy, civil and safe campus and reduce student participation in negative behaviors
Provide prevention programming to students Support ASI in constructing Rec/Wellness Center Expand Health promotions programs Expand Community Policing
Plan co-curricular services that emphasize student learning and measure student learning outcomes
Develop division-wide Student Leadership Program with on-line leadership training component.
Develop and implement a Student Career Success Report for CSUEB graduates
Work with ASI to develop student/faculty engagement programs
Create Task Force to assess future student support needs

As enrollment expands, more resources will be needed to provide services to meet the Student Affairs objectives.
