The annual Paradise Main Street Festival is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Saturday, Sept. 26.

Each year since 2006, the Paradise Historical Society has hosted

the event to raise money to build a Veterans Memorial Park in

downtown Paradise on property procured by the Historical Society.

The festival has raised enough money, with the help of local

citizens, vendors, entertainers and organizations, to complete the

    park this year.

It is the only organized local fundraiser of its kind in

the Paradise Community. This year will feature a special dedication

ceremony during the festival to unveil the completed park.

The festival includes local entertainers on a live stage; vendorsand booths including food, crafts and organizations. Veterans are

honored every year. Childrens games include the pumpkin roll and

three-legged race. A quilt exhibit will feature exquisite handmade

items. Other events include an antique farm machinery exhibit

and a live auction that includes donated items, baked goods,

    crafts and certificates.

Now that Memorial Park is completed, the historical society

will continue to hold the festival to help with its future goal of

a historical museum to be built on the same property as theMemorial Park.
