• Seoul has been the capital of Korea for 600 years. • The population is about 10.5 million people. • Seoul was host city of the `88 Olympics. • And it was once a city for kings, but now the capital has become the
hub of the entire nation. • Seoul has many hundreds of to do and see. • These include well preserved ancient royal palaces, temples, tombs, museums, art galleries, etc.
Hystory
Kyung-Bok Palace
• Gyeongbokgung, or the Palace of Felicitous Blessing, was the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).
• It opened in 1395, the fourth year of the reign of Taejo king,the founding monarch of Joseon.
Kyung-Bok Palace
• The palace attained all necessary facilities and systems commensurate with its status as Joseon’s primary palace during the reign of Sejong (r. 1418-1450).
Bus system
• Seoul city has special bus system which is separated by every roads on Seoul. • It is not influenced by traffic jam.• It solved crucial traffic problem of Seoul.
Myung-Dong Street
• Myung-dong is one of the most exclusive streets in Seoul.
• It has quite a lot of nicknames, of which 'Mecca of Fashion'
And 'Young People's Street,‘ are the most familiar.
