The SS utilizes a Hall effect integrated circuit chip which provides increased temperature stability and performance. Laser trimmed thick film resistors on the ceramic substrate and thin film resistors on the integrated circuit reduce null and gain shifts over temperature which results in consistent sensitivity from one device to the next.
APPLICATION CONSIDERATION: The output is clamped at the high end. Clamping voltage may be as low as 9Vdc. The output will not exceed the clamping voltage regardless of field strength or power supply.
The temperature compensated Hall effect sensor consists of a quad Hall sensing element in a square integrated circuit chip, which is then encapsulated in a glass-filled thermoset molding material. The small SOT89 style package surface mounts on PC boards and flexible circuits.

This sensor is a cost-effective and space-efficient solution for high-volume OEM designs. The VF401 is a high performance, digital, 2-wire, MR sensor in a miniature, flat,TO-92-style plastic package with a current output, designed for sensing fine pitch ring magnets. The VF401 is a high performance, digital, 2-wire, MR sensor in a miniature, flat, TO-92-style plastic package with a current output, designed for sensing fine pitch ring magnets. The VF526DT has two Hall sensing elements encapsulated in a thermoset molding material precisely located 1,4mm [0.055"] apart on a single integrated circuit chip. Two active Hall latches provide speed and direction indication of an alternating magnetic field (such as a rotating ring magnet) across the face of the package.

Spectra Symbol offers the SoftPot Membrane Potentiometer Sensor for universal position sensing in linear-stroke applications such as seat position, actuator position, handheld medical device location and switch, electronic musical instrumentation, and other position feedback devices. Features of the Spectra Symbol SoftPot include a 0.5mm height with lengths extending 12.5mm to 1,000mm in length. 3M adhesive provides IP65 rating Spectra Symbol's SoftPot Membrane Potentiometer Sensors are currently a medical standard in the healthcare industry, as well as in many industrial applications. An inexpensive and low form-factor way to achieve full travel position sensing.
The Spectra Symbol HotPot Membrane Potentiometer Sensor was developed with the most rugged membrane technology and boasts over a 10 million life cycle. Robust in humidity, in temperatures up to 85ºC, and as low as -40ºC, the HotPot is an industrial, military, outdoor, and automotive preferred sensor and is ideal for door and and window position sensing, as well. The Spectra Symbol HotPot Membrane Potentiometer Sensor securely bonds to the host with 3M pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and is IP65 rated - dust proof and water proof for intense spray.
The MagnetoPot is simple, yet elegant in its ability to track motion in a contactless manner. A magnet on the inside of a cylinder, or on the other side of a motion device will guide the built-in magnetics of the MagnetoPot for position output as a voltage divider. As opposed to a Reed Switch, which gives simply “open” or “close” signals, the MagnetoPot gives the full linear travel as a magnetic sensor. For the cost of a Reed Switch, the MagnetoPot offers tremendous sensing solutions for a fraction of other magnetic sensors costs. What position sensor can offer the magnetic characteristics of a reed switch with the output of a potentiometer, for the same cost of a Reed Switch? Only Spectra Symbol’s MagnetoPot.

ThinPot membrane potentiometer has all of the attributes and benefits of the SoftPot, but is twice as narrow. Based on demand from the market, Spectra Symbol has developed this 10mm wide, 0.5mm thick sensor to fit in the most difficult locations.

AIRFLOW SENSORSContain a thin-film, thermally isolated bridge structure that consisting of heater and temperature sensing elements. This microbridge structure provides a sensitive and fast response to the flow, amount and direction of air or other gas over the chip and provides a proportional output voltage. State-of-the-art chip design and manufacturing techniques allow the microbridge to be remarkably sensitive, fast and small. Amplified versions provide a higher output signal and require less external circuitry while unamplified versions allow more options in external circuit deign. A variety of port styles provides greater application flexibility.
CURRENT SENSORS
Linear Current Sensors
MICRO SWITCH™ CS series linear current sensors incorporate our 91SS12-2 and SS94A1 linear output Hall effect transducer (LOHET™). The sensing element is assembled in a printed circuit board mountable housing. This housing is available in four configuration as shown in mounting dimension figures 1, 1a, 2 and 2a. Normal mounting is with 0.375 inch long 4-40 screw and square nut (not provided) inserted in the housing or a 6-20 self-tapping screw. The combination of the sensor, flux collector, and housing comprises the holder assembly. These sensors are ratiometric.
ZEPHYR™ DIGITAL AIRFLOW SENSORS HAF SERIESHoneywell Zephyr™ Digital Airflow Sensors: HAF Series-High Accuracy, provide a digital interface for reading airflow over the specified full scale flow span and temperature range. Their thermally isolated heater and temperature sensing elements help these sensors provide a fast response to air or gas flow. Zephyr sensors are designed to measure mass flow of air and other non-corrosive gases. They are available in standard flow ranges and are fully calibrated and temperature compensated with an on-board Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC).

Contain sensing elements that consist of four piezoresistors buried in the face of a thin, chemically-etched silicon diaphragm. A pressure change causes the diaphragm to flex, inducing a stress in the diaphragm and the buried resistors. The resistor values change in proportion to the stress applied and produce an electrical output. These sensors are small, low cost and reliable. They feature excellent repeatability, high accuracy and reliability under varying environmental conditions. In addition, they feature highly consistent operating characteristics from one sensor to the next, and interchangeability without recalibration.
