April was a particularly special month for us as on the 29th we celebrated our 9th birthday; everyone from the office gathered to join the fun but challenging “Amazing Crave” activity. While adopting the concept of “Amazing Race”, the clues given to the Alchemists in each spot were mostly related to food! The final destination was the Jimbaran Restaurant in Ancol, where sumptuous seafood and attractive door prizes awaited us. The past two months also kept us busy with a number of clients’ events. Bango continued its “Semur Campaign” by visiting the Jayawisata tourism school with the intention of seeding the pride of our national culinary heritage among the youngest Indonesian generations. “Nutritalk” from Sari Husada was particularly special since we presented Prof. Philip James, MD, Ph.D, a nutritional expert from UK, to explain the issues of child obesity through his latest research. Electrolux also ran a series of events, namely the “Vac from the Sea” media conference and exhibition in Senayan City to create greater public awareness and concern about the future of the oceans. In addition, the annual Electrolux Design Lab competition was again introduced to reputable universities in Indonesia, i.e. the University of Indonesia, Trisakti and the Bandung Institute of Technology. Then, the “Chef of the Year” competition by Unilever Food Solutions scored big time publicity-wise by conducting its grand finale on April 3 in Jakarta! Eighteen participants had the chance to strut their skills in front of the judges, media and public. The winners then had the chance of a lifetime to attend a master class hosted by one of the world’s most renowned chefs, British Chef Marco Pierre White, in Singapore. Once again, our social media team managed to create a huge hype on Wall’s Twitter and Facebook accounts during the “Pasar Puter” event in Jogja. In just seven days, 1,363 tweets using hashtag #PasarPuterJogja reached 309,406 accounts, with impressions of 3,810,214 recorded. Wall’s Facebook “likes” also increased by 1,615, and reached 338,859 people. Indeed a job well-done! Lastly, you will be riveted by the news that Gourmet World has undergone a revamp of its Healthylicious, Spanish fiesta and Spring-Summer promotional materials. Read on and be amazed! Celebrating our 9th anniversary, on April 29, we all went on a fun culinary trip around Jakarta called “The Amazing Crave”. We had such wonderful time, and of course, full tummies! The peak of the event took place in Jimbaran Resto, Ancol - those scrumptious foods, birthday cake, and lucky draw prizes had indeed become a super-sweet closure. Happy Birthday to us!
