Program Highlights
The RPMS media center undergoes technology modernization over
the summer is now able to accommodate full-sized classes at the
computer stations.
The media center space has been rear-
ranged into inviting area of chairs, tables and
carpet to encourage small group discussion.
Titles from the Maryland Black-Eyed
Susan State Reading Promotion have been
purchased. Students may choose from the
grade 4-6 or 6-9 or High School lists.
The RPMS media center hosts the 6th
grade Town Hall meetings for each quar-
ter.
The RPMS media center hosts the Char-
acter Education breakfasts and televised
the award winners on the morning announcements.
RPMS media specialist collaborates with teachers to integrate tech-
nology into the curriculum. 1st semester projects include
Voicethread, PhotoStory, Microsoft
Publisher and Microsoft PowerPoint.
RPMS media program supports stu-
dent projects through the development
of research guides posted on a school-
wide Wiki. See

The RPMS media center hosts pro-
fessional development training for paraeducators. January training
consisted of Glogster. See

TRAILS knowledge assessment is adminis-
tered to provide an easily accessible and flexible
tool to identify strengths and weaknesses in the information-
seeking skills of RPMS students.
Library media specialist works with UDL tech consultant to train
all RPMS students in online resources providing differentiation.
