Secure your online data
Both Autonet and Autowork Online employ an ‘Autonet Server’ that protects your Autopart data from the outside world. Furthermore, both applications offer three levels of security to prevent unauthorised use:
Username + password
You provide individual users with secure passwords that are required every time they log on.
Username + password + machine code
Each user is locked to a specific PC, as identified by the PC’s hard drive serial number. It is possible to register more than one PC code against a customer account. This function only works with Internet Explorer.
Username + password + IP address
Each user is locked to single or range of IP addresses. It is possible to register more than one IP address against a customer account. This function only works with users who have a static broadband IP address.
An Autonet Retail website can be configured to sell either generic and/or vehicle-specific products to retail customers. If selling vehicle-specific products, Autocat+ and VRM feeds will be required.
