BSU: Black Student Union

BSU is an organization founded on the Hofstra Campus that allows African American Students, and other minorities to service the black community as well as educate students on blacks in the business world. This group is open to all races, not just minorities.

● Room was filled with many students

● students seemed very uninterested in meeting

● talkative, disruptive

Ethnographic Research: Conclusion

Students knew little to no information concerning African Americans in business. Infact In a room of 9 students, only two said they even cared.

Proposal

Students, of every race need a positive way to promote interest and create enthusiasm concerning African Americans in the business world, thus spawning the idea of the AFRO-Chip. The AFRO-chip is an app that can be downloaded on your handheld device.

It enables students of all ages to be more familiar with positive images in the African American community while giving motivation for students to excel in the business world, and observes users in daily life and corrects problems such as speech, pose, stature, and work ethic.

This will produce young black adults to observe other courses of a successful lives. Which can instill motivation, and in turn produce more educational leaders in the black community. The ambitious business leaders can enable minority groups to rise higher in status of today’s society and build more businesses that can help the ever-falling unemployment rate.
