SECTOR REGULATING METERING STATION PN 16
APPLICATION: Ensures the natural gas filtering, regulating, metering and is made-up by an assembly of devices, fittings and accessories mounted in an own construction, a metallic or thermo insulated cabinet. Through the RMS, the gas passes from the supply network (medium pressure) into the distribution network (reduced or low pressure).

BASIC CONFIGURATION:
- filtering installation (filters with 10, 80, 100 or 160 µm finesse) with differential manometers - regulating installation (direct or indirect steered regulators, depending on the pressure and flow stages). - safety elements (blocking devices for under pressure/overpressure and safety valve) - metering installation (turbine or rotary meter and PTZ corrector) - indicating devices (manometers and thermometers) - metallic or thermo insulated cabinet
The sector stations can be manufactured in the following constructive types: - with metering downstream from regulating - with metering upstream from regulating - without metering (SRS) OPTIONAL EQUIPPING: - filter-separators - metering with other approved devices - local heating with electrical resistance in anti-ex assembly - butterfly flap valves TECHNICAL FEATURES: Table 1
(1) The following conditions will be regarded: P1 / P2 = max. 25 for low and reduced pressure
and P1 / P2 = max. 10 for medium pressure and P1min ≥ P2 + 0,3.
For P1 ≤ 4,2 bar, P1 and P2 can be established following the conditions P1 / P2 = min. 4 (2) The flows are expressed in m3/h and were calculated following v=20m/s.

RMS selection example: Q = 2500 Nm3/h P1min = 2 bar P1max = 6 bar P2min = 0.5 bar 1. Pressure conditions fulfillment is checked: P1/P2 = 2/0.5 = 4<25
P1min ≥ 0.5 + 0,3 = 0.8 2. The flow is transformed from Nm3/h to m3/h for inlet and outlet pressure:
− inlet: hmP

In table 1, the size of station with inlet flow larger than Q1 is chosen, in this case RMS DN150/200. The same way it is checked if Q2 is smaller than the outlet flow indicated in the table for. It can be observed that the flow Q2 < 2379.59, therefore the station was correctly selected.

SECTOR RMS PN 16 CABINET Usually the regulating metering stations are delivered in thermo insulated metallic cabinet. The cabinets are metallic constructions provided with doors on the sides to ease the access at installation. Optional they can be equipped with interior lightning system, in an anti-ex assembly. Upon request, thermo insulated cabinets can be manufactured.
