No increase in air temperature. – Ideal for use when less than 24" (610 mm) total combined length of all knives is acceptable and the knives can be mounted close to the target. • Variable Air Amplifiers: – For use when directed air or cycling air is required and compressed air is available. – Performance can be adjusted. – Can be used as an exhaust device. – Ideal for robotic applications. • 727 WindJet Air Knife Manifold: – For use when high impact, air cycling and/or customized air stream is required and compressed air is available. – Ideal as final stage blow-off after blower packages for objects that require high velocities. – Available in a wide range of materials. We also offer a wide range of air control and blow-off nozzles, systems and air guns. Section J – Air Control Nozzles
Our extensive line of air control nozzles, used in drying and blowing applications, includes products that use regenerative blowers and products that require compressed air.
• Realize a 20% to 50% utility cost savings by using WindJet® Air Control nozzles instead of drilled holes in pipe or shop-fashioned flattened pipe.
• Specify the nozzle with the lowest flow available that meets your application requirements to minimize air consumption and reduce noise.
• Efficient air control nozzle performance is dependent on proper filtration of compressed air. Use a filter/separator to remove excess oil and water just prior to the nozzles.
• Use a pressure regulator and gauge on the air line to keep pressure as low as possible to minimize operating costs and noise and improve safety.
• When possible, increase the distance between the target surface and the nozzle to reduce noise caused by air impacting the target.
• To reduce the number of nozzles required, position nozzles to wipe sideways across a moving target at a comparatively shallow angle.
• When creating a curtain, place nozzles up to 12" (305 mm) apart depending on the application.
• Air control nozzles are available in many materials and can be used with CO2, nitrogen, steam or other compatible gases for special heating or cooling applications.
• In cleaning applications, angle the nozzles 15° to 45° to ensure the contaminant is removed from the product surface.
• For simple, accurate adjustment of nozzle orientation, install adjustable ball joints with air control nozzles.
• A complete, fully customized solution to your blow-off and/or drying requirements from a single supplier produces a uniform, high-volume, constant air stream for optimal performance of drying or blow-off processes. The number and length of knives, air slot size, blower size and necessary accessories vary and are differentiated by the size of the blower package feature.
• Unique, high-performance WindJet air knives.
– High operating efficiency, performance guarantee.
– Continuous, non-pulsating, oil-free air flow.
– Rugged construction of cast aluminum or cast iron, depending on model size.
– 5, 10, 15 or 30 hp (3.6, 6, 7.5 or 14.1 kW) 50 or 60 Hz direct-drive motor.
– Assemblies include pressure relief valve, pressure gauge, air inlet filter, fittings, mounting adapter for flexible or rigid tubing.
– Motors are UL, CE and CSA certified.• All necessary accessories required for mounting and connecting
the package together.
• Low operating noise, no need for sound enclosures.
– Adjustable ball fittings– Air filters– Air pressure regulators– Ball valves
– Plug valves– Pressure gauges– Solenoid valves
Features and Benefits
• WindJet nozzles are available in a wide range of patterns, sizes and materials.
• Key feature overview for 707 WindJet nozzles:– Produce a tightly directed round spray pattern with minimal noise levels.– Extended ribs protect the recessed orifices against external damage.– Ribs provide an air escape should the nozzle be placed against a flat surface
and accommodate a deep well socket.– Aluminum and stainless steel versions feature interchangeable caps that control
air usage.– Aluminum caps are color coded for easy identification of flow rates.
– Generate a quiet, efficient, controlled flat fan distribution of compressed air.
– Air stream is discharged through 16 precision orifices that ensure uniform distribution and spray pattern integrity.
– Recessed orifices on the ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) and stainless steel versions protect against external damage and provide an air escape should the nozzle accidentally be placed against a flat surface.
– Convenient mounting hole on the ABS, PPS and stainless steel versions ensures correct positioning on the header or manifold for fixed applications.

• WindJet nozzles are available in a wide range of patterns, sizes and materials.
• UniJet nozzles consist of a nozzle body, screen strainer, spray tip and tip retainer. Spray tips are replaced quickly and easily and bodies can be reused for added savings.
• Key feature overview for UniJet TK spray tips:– Nozzle tips for air are compatible with UniJet nozzle bodies.– Round orifice and a large, unobstructed air volume passage.– Wide angle, medium-velocity spray.– Precision-machined deflector surface provides accurate
control of deflection and spray angle.– Available in brass or 303 Stainless Steel.
• Key feature overview for UniJet blow-off spray tips:– Specially designed for use with air and steam.– Nozzle tips for air are compatible with UniJet nozzle bodies.– A horizontal slot across the tip of the nozzle delivers a uniform
flat spray pattern.– Available in brass or 303 Stainless Steel.
• Key feature overview for FloodJet K nozzles:– One-piece design.– For use with air and steam.– Wide angle flat spray pattern with medium velocity.– Round orifice and a large, unobstructed air volume passage.– Precision-machined deflector provides accurate control of
deflection and spray angle.
