Questions from Parents
Qn: For the schedule for Direct School Admission for JC and Early Admission Exercise for Poly, how will the students be made aware of those schedule?
• Direct School Admission for junior colleges (DSA-JC) allows students to apply to a DSA school before taking the GCE O-Level examinations.
• You can apply based on your talent in sports, CCAs and specific academic areas that may not be demonstrated at the O-Level examinations.
• If you are admitted to a school through DSA-JC, you are not allowed to:• Participate in the JAE.• Transfer to another school. You must commit to your chosen school for the
duration of the programme.
• You can apply directly to individual schools. Check the individual schools’ websites for more details as the application period, procedures and selection criteria differ from school to school.

Questions from Parents
Qn: For the schedule for Direct School Admission for JC and Early Admission Exercise for Poly, how will the students be made aware of those schedule? Cont’d
• Poly Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) is an aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply for and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnics prior to receiving their final grades. It allows the polytechnics greater flexibility to select and admit students based on their aptitudes and interests, apart from academic grades, thus allowing a wider range of talents to be recognised.
• Poly EAE is open to graduating O-Level students, final-year Nitec and Higher Nitec students from the Institute of Technical Education and Adults (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Residents only) who have two or more years of relevant work experience.

Qn: Will there be any educational guidance talk for PFP or ITE or Sec 5 pathways for students?
• The EAE, PFP and DPP schedule will be made known to students through the Form Teachers. On top of that, the ECG counsellor will be conducting talks and workshops for the students.
• Graduating students will be given a survey to get inputs on their interest so that the ECG Fair that will be conducted online in Term 2 will be catered to their interest.

Questions from Parents
Qn: How does DPP work?
• DPP is one of the two Normal (Academic) through-train pathways that allows Secondary 4 N(A) students to be admitted directly into a 2-year Higher Nitecprogramme at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) without having to sit for the O-Level examinations or undergo a Nitec programme.
• If you successfully complete the course with the minimum required Grade Point Average (GPA), you are guaranteed a place in a polytechnic diploma course mapped to your Higher Nitec course.
• Application period starts upon release of N level examination results.
