SEASONAL CLOTHING & PRICING GUIDELINES Our Seasonal Clothing and Pricing Guideline was created (with our 10 years experience running our sales) to help you better understand what clothing OGOP will accept each season and how to price your items to $ELL. There is a separate guide… EVERYTHING Else Guide to help you price everything else J All clothing must be in excellent condition and LIKE NEW: No stains (NONE!) tears, piling, fading, missing buttons, holes, smells and or pet hair
• SEASONAL Clothing: The Seasonal Clothing part of our guide outlines items and which season we will accept them in. A YES in a column means the item will be accepted within that season. A NO in a column means the item will not be accepted during that season. Please note… there are some exceptions to our guide and an item may fall outside of what we’ve listed. Please never hesitate to ask for the Sale Owner and or Team Leader to review an item if you believe a volunteer has made a mistake J
• PRICING YOUR ITEMS: The Pricing portion of our guide is broken down into Newborn to 2 Years and 3 Years
to Teens. Bundled items ALWAYS sell quicker! Always try to group items by size and sell in multiples! This
SEASONAL CLOTHING & PRICING GUIDELINES will cut down on your tagging time. If you know what you paid for an item and it’s in perfect shape… price 10-20% of what you paid. If you don’t know, refer to our guide!
• PRICING INFANT ITEMS: You have a lot of baby clothing and so does everyone else! Our newborn to size 2 racks are always packed so please… ALWAYS bundle (by size) Newborn to 2 clothing when possible. ALWAYS price aggressively to sell at 10-15% retail! Bundle 2/3 tops or pants or sell as an outfit. ALWAYS bundle onsies and sleepers in multiple of 3 or 4
• HOW DID COME UP WITH THE RECOMMEND PRICE? We priced to sell averaging 15% of what most retail
items within the category should be priced at. There is NOTHING worse than coming to pick up your unsold items and finding a mountain of clothing left over. This guide is to help you avoid this
ANY OTHER IMPORTANT TIPS YOU’VE LEARNED? Yes… J
• MARKDOWN: ALWAYS choose Markdown for clothing… ALWAYS! Our 50% Sunday draws big crowds.
When priced right (see guide) items will fly out the door. If you over price, choosing Markdown will adjust your price appropriately. Not choosing markdown is the biggest rookie mistake we see. You’ve done the work so give your clothing every chance to sell
• PINS AND OR TAGGING GUN: Never, ever, EVER poke a hole through the fabric. Always attach pins, place
needle of tagging gun through an INSIDE cuff seam. Do not try to place through outside seam because you will only create a hole by the seam!
Understanding how to package, hang, tag and present your items so they sell quickly and at full price is super important too! Please refer to OutGROW OutPLAY’s Consignor 101 Manual for tips, tricks and best practices we’ve learned with our 10 years of experience running our sale events

The condition and brand of an item WILL affect the price! An item NWT = New With Tags, you can charge a bit more. An item worn once with no obvious wear will sell for a bit more VS an item with a bit of obvious wear. Also keep in mind that some CHAIN BRANDS (Gap, Children’s Place etc) always have sales going on and very few people pay full retail – Moms know this!
• If you know what you paid for an item and it’s in perfect shape… price 10-20% of what you paid. If you don’t know, refer to our guide!
SEASONAL CLOTHING & PRICING GUIDELINES We have done our best to list specific kinds of children’s apparel but are unable to list every kind of clothing article available. When in doubt, bring the item with you. If it is out of season, you can take it home and bring it to the next sale event without having to retag it.

A few other OutGROW OutPLAY Pro Tips…
• Sort and pile your clothing by gender and size. Hang, tag and them move on to the next pile • Creating a generic tag that can be used on multiple items save you boatloads of time! One $3 tag can be used on as
many different items as you choose • Again, bundled clothing always sells quicker and is much easier to tag. Write on tag number of pieces and zip tie
