SYNOPSIS

In the future there is a co-existence of two Earths. When Nuka arrives to the original Earth

she has a mission: Return Otto. Nuka is on her search whilst she is documenting infor-

mation about the human urban lifestyle. Finally she finds Otto, living comfortably in this

new world. He explains how he doesn’t want to return to their planet, and shows her the

beauty this new Earth has for them. They both begin to live a different life, which is sud-

denly disrupted.

THE PRODUCTION

The short film, shot with a micro budget, on location in Bedminster is portraying a char-

acter that represents alienation, showing the fragility of identity in a reconstructed world.

With fine art and photographic influences, the moving images have the behavior of the

static presence of a photo.

En un futuro próximo, la co-existencia de dos Tierras: ‘Tierra 1’ y ‘Tierra 2’. Cuando Nuka llega a la Tierra

Original, tiene una única misión: Devolver a Otto. Mientras Nuka se centra en su búsqueda, documenta

información sobre la urbana humana estilo de vida. Finalmente ella encuentra a Otto, viviendo conforta-

blemente en este nuevo mundo. Él le explica como él no quiere volver a su planeta, Tierra 2, y le enseña

a ella la belleza de esta ‘nueva’ Tierra tiene para ellos. Ambos empiezan a conocerse y a vivir una vida

diferente, hasta que de repente alguien se la quita.

Dans un futur proche, la co-existence de la Terre des 1 ‘deux terres et «Terre 2». Lorsque Nuka originale

atteint la Terre, a une mission unique: Retour à Otto. Nuka Tout en se concentrant sur sa quête, des in-

formations documentées sur la vie urbaine de l’homme. Enfin, elle rencontre Otto, vivent confortablement

dans ce nouveau monde. Il explique comment il veut retourner sur sa planète, la Terre 2, et lui apprend la

beauté de cette «nouvelle» de la Terre a pour eux. Tous deux commencent à connaître et à vivre une vie

différente, jusqu’à ce que soudain quelqu’un l’enlève.

Nel prossimo futuro, la coesistenza di ‘Terra 1’ due Terre e ‘Earth 2’. Quando Nuka originale raggiunge

la Terra, ha una unica missione: Torna a Otto. Nuka Pur concentrandosi sulla sua ricerca, informazioni

documentate sulle umana stile di vita urbano. Infine incontra Otto, vivendo comodamente in questo nuovo

mondo. Egli spiega come vuole tornare al suo pianeta, Earth 2, e le insegna la bellezza di questa terra

‘nuova’ ha per loro. Entrambi iniziano a conoscere e vivere una vita diversa, fino a quando all’improvviso

qualcuno lo toglie.

THE DIRECTOR

Angie Bolea, born in 1986 in Barcelona, Spain. Graduated in Arts Degree, specialised

in Photography and Media Art, in the faculty of Fine Arts, where her last projects were

selected as part of ‘Sense Títol’ the exhibition of the best year projects. After that, she

moved to Bristol to study Media Practice in the University of West England, where she ex-

plored the narrative aesthetic of filmmaking, working in different projects and specialising

in Cinematography. Her works have been selected in festivals like London Young Film Fes-

tival’11 or New Filmmakers New York Film Festival’12. In her last work, ‘Searching Otto’

she has challenged herself as a Director, in a sci-fi drama with a photographic sense.
