Double page spread

First I opened a new project and opened a A4 portrait page then I added a second in and snapped them together to make a double page spread

I added a black background by drawing a shape and colouring it black

I added my image which had been edited in Photoshop before hand it is all black and white except the band name on his shirt

For the heading I added individual letters and resized them and orientated them so it looked good

I added a ribbon on the left page for the text on it to stand out

I added the text ‘on the cover exclusive’ which means when the reader is looking for the main article they can find it quickly

I put a pull quote at the top in a colour that would stand out.

The boxes at the bottom are for the caption and page numbers.

I put the by line directly underneath the pull quote and directly on top of the text boxes

The text is in slightly differently coloured boxes so it stands out more they are the same in diameter one column and they have a uniform gutter between them

Finally I added the copy and added a drop capital at the start and coloured the questions differently to the main copy
