Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the musically-obsessed Diver sisters will play sets of original songs along with fresh takes on traditional Irish tunes with proceeds from the event benefiting the PACE Center for Girls of Lee County. The sound of the Diver sisters (Marie Therese- Keyb oard, Accordion; Grainne- Guitars; Angela-Bass Guitar, V iolin; and Joan- Drums) has been compared to the Bangles and the Cranberries, and their musical influences range from the Beatles, R.E.M., Indigo Girls and Abba to traditional Irish music. Now residing in New Y ork City, the quartet tours up and down the east coast and boasts a large following in Florida. The Screaming Orphans are currently nominated for Top Celtic Rock Band by the Irish Music A wards.
