This converted church has been a bar and nightclub fora number of years now. It still has a pulpit, stained glasswindows and stone walls, but today it also has a mainbar and dance floor on the ground floor and a largemezzanine with a balcony which over looks the groundfloor. Finally there is the basement, which as well asbeing available for private hire, is also the most popularplace for Karaoke. The music policy is varied and you canexpect to hear a lot of pop, RnB and dance, studentanthems and more. It’s open seven nights a week, andentry is free. It’s one of the clubs in Aberdeen which hasa very strict ID policy, which is one of the reasons it hasachieved BBN accreditation.

The Fishie Pub is located at the heart of the communityin the tranquil village of Fetterangus, in Aberdeenshire(population 400). The village is better known locally as'Fishie,' however the origins of this nickname is notactually known. The pub dates back to 1896 and has hadmany different guises over the years. It has one smallpublic bar with bench seating and tables and stools alongthe walls. It has a dart board, gaming machine, juke box,a large screen TV and a projector and screen. There is alsoa fairly large beer garden with bench seating, adjacent to the property. The bar may be small in size but it is this fact which gives it such a great atmosphere,making it a popular destination for many folks of all ages.Throughout the year singers and different bands play and the pub also hosts quiz nights, charity events anddarts competitions. It has won several Best Bar Noneaccolades in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Sharky’s International Bar owned by landlord CarlGlanville has really developed over the last four years.Today the bar has a very international feel and more of acity bar image.Renovations have included a new bar and the creation ofa separate dance room, while downstairs a family eatingarea has been created and booths put in around the mainbar to create a softer more food orientated look and feel. The menu has also evolved to include dishes andproduce from around the world including Kangaroo,Buffalo, Ostrich and Venison. On the drinks front you canorder premium brands - it has a selection of seven of eachfrom vodka to whisky. The bar won Best Bar None Angusoverall winner in 2009 and 2010 , were Scottish finalistsin 2010 and also was one of only two places to beaccredited Gold Award standard in BBN Angus 2011.This pub is definitely doing something right!
