The most famous winter sport is, probably curling, a very special kind of winter sports.

Military TattooMilitary TattooIt’s held in August. 600 performers play military music and march to it. The festival started in 1947.

The word Tattoo is derived from the Dutch word "Tap-toe" which means quite literally "turn off the taps". The signal which indicated that soldiers should return to their quarters was transmitted by drum beat each evening.

Literature Literature Scotland is an amazing country, so it attracted poets to write about it. Robert Burns & Walter Scott were among them.
