although you will be surprised by the wide range of different accents and dialects spoken across the country. From the north to the south, east and west.

Scotland Weather The weather in Scotland doesn’t differ that much from

other areas in the UK although Scotland is a bit more cloudy, sometimes wetter, windier and the average temperatures are lower, especially in the (far) north

the weather in Scotland is very changeable and depending on the season, there can be big differences.

It is often said that there are four seasons in a day and quite regularly that’s the case.

Traditional food and drink The traditional food eaten in Scotland is haggis: Haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock. The traditional drink in Scotland is whiskey.
