• Preocupación por la escasez de vocaciones hacia el área STEM
• Datos:
• Descenso en las matrículas de las carreras STEM
• Dificultades actualmente para encontrar profesionales en algunas
empresas del área STEM
• Algunas causas son:
• Percepción de que las materias STEM son más difíciles y que
además no merece la pena el esfuerzo de estudiarlas.
• Las chicas rinden académicamente mejor que los chicos pero se
inclinan mucho menos por las materias/carreras STEM.
• Falta de modelos de profesionales STEM.
• Desconocimiento y poco aprecio sobre la ciencia y los científicos

Workshops / TalleresEl Science Projects Workshops in the Future Classroom Lab (SPW@FCL) reunió a profesores STEM que trabajaban en diferentes proyectos financiados por la Comisión Europea. El programa incluía sesiones generales diseñadas por los líderes de los proyectos. Pero también presentaciones de los trabajos colaborativos desarrollados por profesores. Uno de los objetivos de estos Talleres es integrar los contenidos y las experiencias de buenas prácticas que surgen de los proyectos. Todo ello se expone y recoge en el Future Classroom Lab.
La 4ª SPW@FCL (23 – 25 Mayo, 2014) fue organizada por Scientix

1st SPNE, 28 – 29 November 2013 in collaboration with Proconet and Primas.
