Workshops in the FCLThe Science Projects Workshops in the Future Classroom Lab (SPW@FCL) bring together STEM teachers working on different EC funded projects. The programme always includes general sessions designed by the lead project, as well as presentations by the collaborating projects. Parallel sessions with specific programmes for each project also take place. The workshops encourage the integration of the projects’ content and best practices into the setting and facilities of the FCL.
The 1st SPW@FCL (14 - 16 September 2012) was organized in the framework of the first Scientix, in collaboration with Global excursion and inGenious. 50 people including teachers and science education practitioners (partners in EC funded projects) participated in the workshop.
The 2nd SPW@FCL (19 – 21 April, 2013) was organized by inGenious and with the collaboration of nanOpinion, eTwinning and Scientix. This event brought together 77 science teachers, career counsellors, industry representatives and project partners.
The 3rd SPW@FCL (14 – 16 Feb, 2014), organized by Global excursion with the collaboration of Scientix, Go-Lab and ingenious had 32 participants. The event included: the Award Ceremony of the ViSH 2013 Competition which was followed live through video streaming and which got more than 300 connexions, the 3rd Scientix Teachers Kick-off, as well as Go-Lab and inGenious workshops for Belgian teachers.
The 4th SPW@FCL(23 – 25 May 2014) was organized by Scientix and had 53 participants, including 21 STEM teachers, 12 Scientix Ambassadors, 12 Italian students, as well as representatives from other FP7 projects who learned about Scientix, the FCL, Go-Lab, inGenious and the Science Fairs Framework develop with Intel.
The 5th SPW@FCL (20 – 22 Feb 2015) was organized by Scientix, and had 60 participants including 18 Scientix (out of 260) + eTw + posters, resources awards and twitter winners.
The 6th SPW@FCL (8-10 May 2015), organized by Scientix had 60 participants from 18 countries: 26 Heads of School new to Scientix (selected from almost 100 applicants), 7 Future Classroom School Leaders, 22 project / organization representatives and Scientix resources winners.
