A Child’s Smile is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that works in Greece, protects the rights of children and solves everyday problems like food or health. This organization is located in Filiro, Thessaloniki and hosts children who have no home.

UNICEF, the United Nations Chil-dren’s Fund was founded on 11 De-cember 1946 to help the children of Europe, the Middle East and China after the end of World War II .

From then until today, world famous artists, athletes and other famous people are in the service of UNICEF as "goodwill ambassadors" or "Special Representatives" for the arts and sports.

In Greece, the first goodwill ambas-sador was the writer

Anthonis Samarakis. Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF in Greece is also the academic Eleni Glykatzi-Ahrweiler.

You can help children and

Arctouros is an organization which was founded in 1992 to protect wildlife because many people kill bears .

They organize many celebrations for animals or for the environment. They try to collect money because we must save endangered animals. Arctouros was founded in 1992 and until 2013 the people of Arctouros have achieved many things.

‘Star FM 97.1 goes off air permanently tonight. Thank you for the wonderful 23 years, 7 months and 10 days. Akis Touronis. ’

With this simple announcement on Facebook, at 22:32, the founder and owner of Star FM Akis Touronis, announced the end of the historic radio station of Thessaloniki. Farewell was followed by the song ‘Who wants to live forever’ by Queen and ‘All the good things come to an end’. Around midnight came the final ‘’THE END’’, the transmitter of 97.1 stopped and the site and the live streaming came out.

The shutdown of Star FM, one of the biggest radio stations in Thessaloniki was a shock to listeners. But the team of Star FM is back on the air , this time at the transmitter of 96.1. The name of the station is NEXT 96.1 Thanos Hinkas
