The Department of Pharmaceutics and Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry&

Analysis, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vels Institute of Science, Technology &

Advanced Studies(VISTAS), Pallavaram,Chennai-117, Tamil Nadu, India conducted a

APP Ist Indo-Jordan International conference on "Global Trends in Drug Design,

Discovery and Pharmaceutical Sciences" on 23rd

July 2019. Expert lectures were delivered

by Dr. Pran Kishore Deb, Associate Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry,Faculty

of Pharmacy, Philadelphia University and Dr.V.Gopal, Principal & Professor, College of

Pharmacy, Mother Theresa Post Gratuate and Research Institute of Health Sciences,

Puducherry. There were two parallel sessions in which research papers and posters were

presented on Innovative topics associated with the theme of the conference by the

participants from all over India. Dr.P.Shanmugasundaram, Director, School of

Pharmaceutical Sciences, welcomed Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Foundar-Chancellor, Dr.A.Jothi

Murugan, Vice President (Planning and Development), Dr.S.Sreeman Narayanan, Pro-

Vice Chancellor, Dr.A.R.Veeramani, Registrar, VISTAS, Chief guests and participants. Dr.

M.VijeyAanandhi, Professor and Head, Dept of Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis

announced the prizes for the participants. Dr. S. Satheesh Kumar, Professor and Head,

Dept of Pharmaceutics proposed a vote of thanks.
