A Big Joke

By Annalisa K.Kentucky, Age 10

In December our principal Mr.Horton played a huge trick on the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. He decided that since our school made the highest CTBS scores and CATS test scores he would give us a treat we would never forget. He told us we were all in trouble. But when we got in the gym there was ice cream and a big screen tv waiting for us all. We ended up watching Daddy Day Care and eating ice cream!

Taking Action!

By Jessie R.Iowa, Age 10

4th graders at Elementary School in Iowa are taking action to keep our planet safer and cleaner. They are recycling. They're recycling things such as scraps from crafts, unimportant papers, and every other paper product that can be recycled. If they weren't doing this green project, those papers would go to landfills. Landfills are places were garbage is dumped. Animals can choke and die on those things.
